iOS 7 music sync problems on iPhone 4

I've updated my iPhone 4 and my mac's iTunes - everything syncs fine except for music. I've tried reboots etc to no avail.

I've tried to sync by playlist, artist, album and genre separately and nothing works with the status bar stuck on "Step 4 of 4" on the preparing bar.

I'm having the exact same problem as described by everyone else in this thread. We've all hit the same wall.

Earth to Apple!!

** This is NOT a minor bug... This is MISSION-CRITICAL functionality and it is BROKEN. **

You need to roll out a FIX to this problem STAT! (as in NOW).

iOS 7 on an iPhone 4S 64GB syncing through iTunes 11.11.1.

Problem exists with both wired and wireless sync.

Please FIX THIS NOW.

After trying all week to sync and cancelling at "waiting for changes to be applied", and trying a lot of the fixes on these posts, this worked for me.

I left it going on "waiting for changes to be applied" and after about 20 minutes I suddenly saw it was copying all of my songs and podcasts back onto my iPhone 4. It took almost an hour (2948 songs and 189 podcasts), but then everything seems to be working and it syncs normally speed-wise. Hope this works for some of you.

Dude.
iv resolved it!
apple released an update to ios7.
the rest is down to you. apple dont have the instructions fot you!
this works;
uninstall itunes
download latest version (IIRC 11.1.026) and install it.
check for updates on iphone and update if necessary
connect iphone.
do a backup
restore iphone
then everything should sync.
after its working, you may notice "itunes store" wont fully load and dumps back to the home screen
just open "music" and tap store. next time you use the "itunes store" app it will then work.
done.

Always block at 8/8 . I waited all the night and nothing happened.
I restore the iPhone, try to restore a save ---> same problem
I restore the iPhone, try with as a new one ---> same problem

I try to sync manualy Music ---> same problem

Itunes version is 11.1.1

Wow, I was fooled into believing that the synch was successful. This is a little hard to believe but actually true....after I uninstalled iTunes from my PC and downloaded the latest version from Apple I finally got sync to start working. Lo and behold the next morning all the checked songs were listed in my iPhone 4S library both on the device and in iTunes. It turned out a major quantity of songs are not actually on the device! And when I double click on them in the iTunes device library the exclamation mark pops up. Try dragging the song from PC library to iPhone - nothing happens! I was able to delete a couple of songs from the device library and then drag successfully, but others don't drag. Also each time I sync I get various random songs "copying". I also have a lot of dupes on my iPhone now. Now it's doing random uncommanded synchs with various quantities of songs. So i should be happy, huh?

Same issue here.

iphone 4s with ios 7, itunes 11 last version. Windows 7 64bit and MacBook Pro (makes no difference).

At first I do all the mentioned and suggested things to avoid incorrect syncing but nothing could fix the problem.

I wrecked my whole iphone (re-installing, resettings etc.) with this bug because I cannot snyc my music correctly. Unbelievable.

I found the hint in this forum that you don't have to activate wifi or mobile data and also no backup in icloud as well because the problem seems to be that if one sync the device something happened arkwarked between apple server (icloud) (maybe depending on purchased tracks) so the sync is going to nirvana with "wating for ...." with an endless rotating syncing symbol on the device and in ituens as well.

After 7 resets and reinstallations and all the loss of my synced music on the phone (more than 10k music) I am really p... o...

The way of syncing seems to be changed in ios7 and itunes 11 because after the message "copying tracks" you get the message "waiting for ..." but nithing is happened.

My experience until now:

You have to change basically the Backup to Computer (NOT to icloud) and disconnect the device from inet (wifi, mobile data) before you want to sync music. After this you can apparently sync correctly.

You can check if itunes is copying the tracks when you have a look on your device under "settings" ... " info". The amount of tracks should change every few minutes (about 6 tracks per minute if you have changed the settings to 128bit like I do)
BUT if you forget to deactivate wifi and mobile data next time before syncing you will get the mess again and the system will hang again.

It is so bad and I am thinking first time about getting rid of apple products :-(
