McDonalds sells billions of burgers per year. You gonna call it good food? Nearly half the votes cast in the last presidential election went to the loser. You gonna say that validates him? Your argument is moot.

A vast majority of those who upgraded their devices most likely just automatically select upgrade now and don't pay attention until it's too late. Not everyone out there is Apple-savvy enough to avoid a dog with fleas like iOS7.

You'll have to ask the moderators. Also, what about my prior comment was arrogant? I simply disagreed with your belief that the deletion of posts was related to protecting Apple's 'image'. There are thousands of posts here that negatively impact Apple's image, and they remain.

And besides, this is a privately owned forum. Your First Amendment rights are abridged here. Just like EVERY other forum on the Internet.

If your point is that a few hundred or thousand complainers trump the interests of the shareholders, I can't help you. Obviously the 9 million purchasers tell Apple and it's shareholders that it is doing something's right.

Overall, my iPad functions pretty much the same as before, but it is like being seen at the prom with your ugly cousin who couldn't get a date either. However the look is an opinion and Apple really can't do too much about someones opinion, at least until they invent iBrain and individuals who want to be unique will stand in line just like everyone else and agree to being partially lobotimized. Don't laugh, people willingly turn over there personal finacial information and use the App store and iTunes.

Actually what is giving me the chuckles is that the finger print reader will read just about anything. The latest was even a man's private parts...that does not give me the warm fuzzies about security but does make me LOL

Can't? Have to switch between the month view and the week view with appointments? Two steps instead of one?

Gosh, that sure sounds like by being different & new, the functionality is impaired. I use that view all the time. I bought the device to be productive. "Different & new" means I'm less productive than before the upgrade, regardless of how much I get used to it.

Great analogy. Automatic transmissions were developed as an improvement over the manual transmission. To reduce the workload of the driver and to make operation easier. Some people prefer a more difficult and involved experience and buy a manual, but even most of them complain about it when in rush hour traffic. It's not too difficult to learn, but why would most people want to when there is a more automated, convenient alternative? You don't see automakers discontinuing automatics to be "different & new". People would not revert to manuals, they'd buy a different make.

If you bought a new big screen HDTV and then a year later the manufacturer came to your house to upgrade it and replaced it with a nice new 13" CRT, we'll see how you whine. Hey, it's new so it's got to be better, right? You can still make out what is on the screen if you buy a converter box, so what's the problem?

How is this relevant to IOS7?

In the case of IOS, it is pushed on the user. Everyone gets told to upgrade. Apart from Apple, I even got a text from my carrier advising me to upgrade. "It's better!" or "it's faster" or the fear mongering "it's more secure!". Like a movie trailer, web sites display pictures showing the new bling, but never show the bad parts. The brightness assault from everything being so white has to be seen in person, a picture doesn't do it justice. You don't expect a company that so big on human interface design to pull out things people use. A company that can design hardware like the new iMac or the latest Mac Pro but designs a mobile OS that looks like a retina enhanced Palm Treo and then raves about what a good job they did.

The majority did as they were told and trusted Apple and upgraded. Some didn't like it. The problem is that they own the phone, but cannot go back to what worked for them. The same fuctionality that they originally paid for. I would be happy to downgrade and lose any new features and watch the list of compatible apps slowly dwindle. It would be my choice on a phone I own. It's not that Apple is making something that many (not all, not a majority) dislike, it's that Apple is disrespecting them by telling them they can't go back. The only option they give is to sell my pristine phone and replace it with an unknown used one that hasn't been upgraded.

Apple has become Microsoft. They have nothing new to offer, so they simply change things that didn't need changing in an attempt to remain relevant...all the while missing the fact that they have crossed the line with their most important asset...their customers. It won't happen overnight, but unless they take the very unlikely step and change course, they are already on the road to being an alsoran. Check the history books...they are replete with similar examples.

This forum is owned and operated by Apple Inc. They make the rules, they enforce the rules, and you do not have freedom of speech on a privately owned discussion forum.

And you in particular have not been discussing anything remotely related to issues or problems. You have been ranting and raving about change. You don't like iOS 7 and you think eveybody should think like you do. And you're upset that your rantings are challenged. You also said sometime ago that you were finished posting here yet you're still around.

Let's go help a few of those millions of Apple customers that are enjoying (and effeciently using/willing to learn to use) this new update!
