My iPhone 5 won't charge with iOS 7

I upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS 7 yesterday and since updating I have problems charging my iPhone in the wall outlet with the charging cable that came with the phone. It will charge when I use USB charging with my iMac. Anyone else have this problem?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4, Verizon, 16GB

I'm having the same issues as everyone else. I thought it was also the cables that I bought from Amazon but it's not...it's the phone and the alarm clock app that i have used for years. While that is on at night and plugged in, it says the phone is charging but in reality, it's eating up power faster than it can charge. I wake up after a few hours and my battery is at 1%. I turn off the alarm clock app and plug it back in. Next time I check, I'm back up to 10% and charging.I have switched to the original apple cable and I still get the same result. I tested this with my car charger interchanging between the apple cable and a knock off...alarm on and off...same results. When the alarm clock app is running in the back ground, the phone is also losing power when plugged in. Other apps running in the background are probably affecting the charging but I know it's the alarm app since I charge my phone at night and I have turned off all other apps during the charging process and the power drains. I have to go buy an old school alarm clock today.

In our house we have one iPhones 4S, two iphone 5, 1 ipad 1, 2 ipad 3's and one ipad 4.

The iphone 4S and ipad 1 are running IOS 6 or lower. All the others were upgraded to IOS7. All of the IOS7 devices are now experiencing charging issues, no matter which cable or charging device i use. Previously my ipad 4 would fully charge in a couple of hours. Now I can leave it on charge all night and the next day it is only at 60%.

Battery is used much faster than before, with the same usage patterns. All my IOS devices gives errors about not charging when they worked perfectly on IOS 6.

no the problem remains although I have now started using my ipad charger and that seems to be ok. I did persevere with my usual iPhone charger (not the original as I lost that) and ignored the message which came up when I plugged it in but that just stopped and wouldn't work again after about 6 weeks. I do stress all but 1 of the chargers I used were authentic apple ones from different devices.

Me and my friend are having the same issues as you guys. I noticed that the only thing that helps is charging with the laptop with Itunes OPENED on it. When the phone is connected to the device, but itunes is closed, it doesnt charge, but when i open Itunes on Mac - it starts charging right a way...

I bet on software problems.

It is certainly software problems. All of my 6 IOS6 devices charged just fine. We upgraded the 3 newest ones to IOS7 and immediately those 3 suffered from massively increased charging times and often they would say they were plugged in but not charging at all. They are using genuine apple chargers and cables. Sometimes my ipad 3 can be left on charge the whole night and still only be at 70% the next morning.

The 3 IOS6 devices charge just fine using those same chargers.
