or any other Apple product for that matter. Sayonara Apple.
How do you change the contrast for the keyboard there is not enough contrast for vision impaired customers
Hi floridianman,
There are some options under Settings>General>Accessibility that may be helpful for you:
Larger Type (which helps with Mail, Contacts, etc.)
Bold Text
Increase Contrast
This may help some, but it would also be a good idea for you to send your issues to Apple at:
http://www.apple.com/feedback/
Hope you will be able to find your device more usable with some or all of these settings!
Cheers,
GB
Hi again,
Also, inverting the colors will make the keyboard black and the letters white, but not sure you would like the affect for other stuff...
Just wanted to let you know about that option as well. This is also under Settings>General>Accessibility.
I played around with the settings I provided in my first post, and although they help with other things, they didn't seem to have an effect on the keyboard....(sorry) 😟

I have to uninstall the new iOS because it is not compatible with my 2013 Honda Accord. That's right--I buy a new car in May and now the bluetooth feature does not work because of the "upgrade." Does Apple monitor these discussions? Is someone working on this problem? I have been monitoring the boards and I am not the only one dealing with this issue. If this problem cannot be fixed, then Apple will lose a loyal customer as I am not willing to jeopardize my safety for this new operating system.
Hi iolea,
What type of bluetooth issues are you having? I have upgraded to iOS7, and I am having no issues with my bluetooth connection in my vehicle.
Can you tell us what your issue is? This thread has primarily been about the aesthetics of iOS7....
Cheers,

I have a 2013 Honda Accord which uses Honda Handsfreelink: http://automobiles.honda.com/handsfreelink/. I just went to the Honda website after posting my prior message and discovered that the new iOS is not compatible with their system. I have contacted them and I am waiting for a reply, but from what I can determine ALL Honda users/owners who have Honda Handsfreelink are impacted by this if they upgrade because their system does not support the new iOS. I suspect that this is the same for Acuras too.
So, does this mean that I cannot buy a new phone after I buy a new car? I am still using my iPhone 4 and was waiting to buy a new one after the "rush" had passed, but this presents an entirely different problem as it is appears that my car will only work with certain phones or operating systems. I know I should have thought about this before hitting upgrade, but I have only had the car for a few months and I am still adjusting to the new features. Also, the entire reason I upgraded was b/c I hate Pandora and could not suffer through the commercials (and the fact that it did not play new songs but merely borrowed songs already in my library). I was hoping I would like the new iTunes Radio on the phone and that I could play it through my handsfreelink system...like I do with Pandora. In addition, I thought it would help a very real problem--my phone has been stuck in the silent mode for about 2 months and needs a reboot to the factory settings. I thought a software upgrade would correct the problem--it merely created more.
And I have an iPhone 5 that has already run down to OFF twice today with virtually no usage.
I already turned off the "app running in the background" that someone said was causing the battery's 3 hours-to-die behavior
I don't want to go to the Apple store because that, I'm guessing, is a good way to burn up the better part of a day waiting in the huge crowd of disgruntled 7 users.
Ideas?
Also, I thought the thread was about uninstalling iOS7....or at least that is how I found the thread. I need to uninstall my software. It is really not an option for me to keep the iOS 7 if I cannot use it with my car. Maybe the Genius Bar can uninstall the software??
Maybe go your wireless service provider instead of the Genius Bar as that might cut down on long lines? Or, better yet, check to see if you can get an appointment. You can schedule it online right now by going to the apple store locations on this site.
Yes, I agree. The iOS7 is the worst update from Apple. It looks like a "hello kitty" phone now. I hate the icons and the neon colors!! I am a professional with a kid's phone! The Apple "geniuses" must have been on crack when they created this so called iOS7 update... Otherwise they could of thought of an option for users to change icons and colors! Not to mention the big problem with the battery. Before this update I didn't have to recharge my iPhone for at least 2 days...now if I charged it the night before by mid afternoon the battery is done! I can't use the Personal Hotspot with my iPad anymore because the iPhone battery will be drained within minutes!! Apple needs to fix these issues ASAP.
Sorry, it is not an option to uninstall an iOS upgrade. It is not supported by Apple or this forum.
I would imagine that since over 200 Million users downloaded iOS 7 over the last week the the Honda and Accura, and other car maunfacturers that provide linkage to iPhones will get this resolved fairly quickly.
Best of luck,

Hi jacqui,
Turn off bluetooth
Turn off any Location Services that you don't need
Turn off Automatic Downloads (including Automatic Updates)
Turn off AirPlay if you have it
Turn off Notification Center options that you don't need on
I have not noticed any discernable difference in my phone's battery life, but, with the exception of bluetooth, and selected Location services, I pretty much have everything else turned off.
See if that helps at all.
Cheers,
GB
GB, thanks for the speed and clarity of your reply. I got it after losing about 10 percent of my phones's charge in about half an hour. Now I'm charging it back up to 100% and we'll see how it goes. I turned off Siri as well. Couldn't find Automatic downloads or AirPlay.
Anyway, I'll report back.
Thanks again
Hi jacqui,
Automatic Downloads is under Settings>iTunes & Apps Store. Scroll down to the bottom and you will see the Automatic Downloads section. Updates especially might take some juice depending on how many apps you have on your device, and how often the developers of those apps update them....
You may not have AirDrop (my bad...it's AirDrop). If you do, it would be under the Control Center - swipe up from the bottom of your device to display the Control Center.
Cheers,
