I also feel betrayed by Apple. iOS 7 does not run properly on the iPhone 4. The UI is slow, even swiping the lock screen and typing my passcode is laggy. Applications that used to load quickly now take ages. I feel that this update took my iPhone 4 from a reasonably functioning phone to a slower, less capable device. For instance, when stopped at a red light I used to be able to unlock my phone, open maps, and check my progress along a route. With iOS 7 this frequently takes longer than an entire stoplight to load in-progress navigation, a major deal breaker for me. I personally would never sacrafice speed for a new skin on the UI. It makes me think that Apple does not know their customers needs. Even if the new iOS worked properly I still feel it is sloppily designed and the UI is less intuitive than before. Google "Sloppy UI Tumblr" and see what I mean.

If there should be anyone on who have that seemingly rare combination of technical and social skill please let me know your opinion of 7.03. My phone once again gave me that seemingly innocuous "update" button with no explanation.

(I have however found that if you click the "info" button next to the "update" you will get the information on the operating system. However you you click the update, the whole thing downloads without giving any information on what is being jammed into your iphone like a goose making pate'. ) But i digress.

My once wonderful iphone is now faily close to the device I liked so much. (other than it shutting down all the web browser pages occasionally and my camera not working as well)

Is 7.03 a help to this monstrosity or is it yet another attempt to sabotage my phone so I will have to buy a 5 ?

Barely bought my iPhone and I'm already getting annoyed by this Apple elitism. When I heard from some seller that "if you jailbreak your phone it's not an Apple anymore, sou you'll lose warranty"... You can't even expand your phone memory! I know that I accepted these "terms" when I choose to buy an Iphone, but now this thing of automatically download something I DON'T WANT on my phone, forcing me to install it or having no memory left... Really, Apple, do you want to please your customers? One year with this enterprise and I'm already givin' up.

Hideous look to the interface! And at first I had all sorts of battery issues, and also had the nausea inducing experience with the zooming app openings. After googling I found the fixes for the battery issue. FWIW on every phone (or device) it's recommended to let the device completely die and then charge it up from zero, at least once a month. Supposedly that helps "set" the battery or something

The one thing I do like about this new ios is that you can block any call (except from your provider), and as many calls as you want. That is SURE nice re: telemarketing calls. I have a 4S, so I'm one of the lucky ones that the fixes actually worked for. However, I hate the interface enough so that when my upgrade comes around next year, I'm definitely changing to a different brand. I've long been annoyed at apple for their proprietary stance re: music for ipods (it's a huge pain to copy to and manage your OWN music within apple devices, that is music copied from your own CDs or purchased pre: iTunes). Apple, it's not YOUR music, it belongs to the artist. You don't have the (ethical, though obviously they can do it technologically speaking) right to make me jump through 14 hoops to copy music from my computer to my iPod just because it wasn't originally purchased on iTunes. Like most people though, I can't just run out and willy-nilly be buying new devices all of the time.

At any rate, long story short. Count me in as yet another consumer for whom this last bit of nonsense was the straw that broke the camel's back. When my upgrade comes around with Verizon, I'm switching to anything but Apple, and if/when I can afford a new mp3 device, I'll at last be Apple Free!

My wife and I had both of our Iphone 5 connected via bluetooth into our Acura's Handsfreelink since 2007. It has been disconnected for several months now, could not find our phones anymore, might have something to do with iOS version update to 7.1. No matter what I did, find phone, tapped or forget device on what used to be connected handsfreelink entry in the iphone bluetooth device list, resetting it back to factory default, it still could not find our phones anymore. I contacted handsfreelink.com, they told me to contact apple, because hoping that the next version update will support handsfreelink back. According to Honda in-car support, the IOS 7 is still under testing for compatibility, so this is unfortunate that they lost the compatibility to the one used to be compatible already, there's no such thing as backward compatibility here?

Hello Kmc31164,

If you mean you want to downgrade to a previous version, as in earlier version, it's impossible.

If you're referring to issues that you're currently facing and you want to get rid of them, as in fixing them, try restoring your iPhone using iTunes, it will re-install the latest iOS, 7.1.2, not 8. (If you want to do that step, tell me so I can guide you)

UNINSTALL IOS 7
