Also tobyw101 reset all his Settings and that worked. Let us know if either a reboot or a Settings reset fixes it
I tried the reboot several times and that had not helped, but a setting rest seemed to have fixed the issue for now. I will repost if the issue reoccurs.
I'm having this problem too.
I did yea, wish i could get back ios 6.
Well the setting reset fixed the issue for a day. The 3 or 4 second delay when typing from the keyboard is back and it affects all apps from unlocking the phone to the chats. So we still need some type of fix, because doing a setting reset everyday does not make sense.
That's pretty funky sounding. Hopefully more users will chime in with help after a few days
Just a thought, I wonder if the slow down on some phones is because very little memory is left after the upgrade.
I spoke with Apple Support last night and they gave me this link:http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 and sat with me for ages while I went through each step. Since completing the back-up, my phone is working perfectly (touch wood), even if it does look like a stupid Android.
Note to Apple: If we wanted Android's, we'd buy them. Please bring back the unique Apple look, and get rid of all the blinding white backgrounds.
I'll give that a try tonight. Thanks.
I have 5 gigs available space left on the phone.
I wonder too. I have plenty of Flash disk space left 4GB or so), but I'm not sure how much RAM and iPhone 4 has and don't know how RAM hungry iOS7 is compared to iOS 6.
Airion...that does sound like a long painful process loading stuff back in one type at a time.
Well I had 1.7GB free before the upgrade and now I have 1.4GB. As I said before there's no noticable lag navigating around. After someone mentioned the typing lag, I did notice 1-2 seconds sometimes when typing notes. And I just realised now that my emoji keyboard is horrendously laggy, takes several goes to scroll the various pages.
It was worth it though. Phone is now running perfectly.
my iPhone 4 is SO laggy since i updated to iOS 7. the typing delay is awful in every app, even when trying to input my 4-digit PIN to unlock the phone. i saw a link somewhere in this thread for a fix that came from Apple Support and will try that later tonight.
