How to hide safari passwords in IOS7

In IOS7 it is so easy for anyone to go into your safari settings and see your passwords for all the websites you visit.

Just goto

settings

safari

Passworda & AutoFill

Saved passwords

All you need is the unlock code on your phone to view the Passwords, associated ID's and the website they belong to.

Many times I give my phone to someone and tell them my passcode so they can make a call. At the very least my kids have my passcode.

How can I keep using stored passwords for safari but not have to worry that ALL my passwords are visible to anyone who wants them?

iPhone 4S, iOS 7

I resolved my problem. A friend advised me to do the following on my childs ipad: turn off restrictions (temporarily), allow changes (temporarily) click icloud, disable keychain. This took away all my safari passwords from the child's ipad, but did not affect my iphone. we went back to enable restrictions, disable changes.

on my iphone this problem was resolved when Apple invented the fingerprint ID. My phone required it to access the passwords. So you can loan your phones out now without worry.

I was horrified today to discover this completely irresponsible defect. My high opinion of Apple has been eroding steadily over the years, but this seems completely outrageous to me. I'm just stunned that my passwords have been completely unprotected for the past two years. I assumed that Safari for IOS obscured them the same way Safari for OSX does. Can this really be an oversight on Apple's part -- that seems so unlikely. Leaving the doors unlocked and wide open is Microsoft's signature contribution to the state of the art. Apple has always prided itself on being better than that. I'm so disillusioned.

I have your same question, i think is seriously dangerous and ridiculous that anyone can see my stored passwords, why Apple don't protect them at least with a pin code? I am very disappointed for that, for that reason i will keep using google chrome browser, that has a more safe stored passwords management 😉.

They do. Set a passcode on your phone. Don't whine about how easy it is for a thief to enter your home and steal your valuables if you don't bother closing and locking the front door when you are gone.
