My iPad won't charge after the IOS7 update

It charged to 100% overnight.

My friend was having problems getting her iPad to charge when plugged into wall outlet. I tried using my charger and it wouldn't work either. I ended up hooking it up to my MacBook and resetting it and it started charging up again. Now it is back to normal and will charge from the wall charger again. Setting up her with iOS 7 now to get her up to date.

I had the same problem with my Ipad3. I had to get the plug that came with the Ipad3 (12w). Not happy because everything with fine b4 IOS7! Getting tired of updates!

Try using the 12w plug, the one that came with the Ipad 3. It worked for me!

I'm so tired of these updates! I don't have these problems with my Samsung!

Thank You Richie! I found that out to but Apple needs to FIX ALL PROBLEMS B4 sending out all updates!

I love your answers. I also have a Samsung Andord! No problems there! Maybe Apple needs to stop suing and ask Samsung how to fix it!

Its ridiculous that Apple allow this achilles heel of their devices to continue, we should not be wasting precious time discussing how to charge a device. It reminds me of the early days of Windows, at that time I changed to Apple and was glad I did.

Now I am making a decision of replacing my ipad 2 which Apples faulty update system has made useless (not totally true it makes a great (uncharged) doorstop.

In my new purchase I am considering an android tablet, not because I really want to but because I am so frustrated about this charging weakness of Apple devices. The android price is much cheaper but for probably an inferior product, except that it will no doubt recharge without the need to sacrifice chickens to Tablet Gods, or recite ancient incantations.

Its crazy I know but I feel rather sad about this not angry.

Hilarious! My SAMSUNG (Phone: Galaxy Note 3) charger fixed my problem. Haha, sad thing is the dock connector seems to barely fits into my iPad so I was really wanting to mess with that...glad I didn't break it out of frustration.

Apple charger: 5.1V 2.1A (10W)

Samsung charger: 5.3V 2.0A

(Note, P=iV so Samsung should also be 10W but it is not rated on device)

My ipad mini ios 6.1.3 using griffin cord and 3rd party charger finally stop working again after I though I found this help... now It wont charge. Problem is not from ios7.

I have tried everything I have even with the new adapter 12W came with my wife's iPad Air. NOT WORKING!

And I am so surprised that there is no one from Apple to come out and say something!!!???

Now my iPad 3 is unreliable and I haven't been using it because of the problem I have (again, cannot charge properly after upgraded to iOS7. No lighting symbol on the upper right hand corner of the screen.). I cannot sell it because of the faulty mine has. The iCare advised me that they would replace me with the new (same spec) iPad if I paid $420???

Anyone with the good advise, please share.

As previous posts my iPad would not charge on any charger after the IOS7 upgrade, however it did show the green charging indicator when I plugged it into my Mac Book Pro.

Try it if possible and feedback if it works.

Your link doesn't really help. What did you do to solve the charging issue??? My "The New iPad" has been doing nothing but keeping in the box. Hope someone would come up with the real solution soon...Thanks in advance.
