Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Hello,
Since updating to iOS 7, whenever I send a group text to a mix of iPhone and Android users the message fails to send. But if I group text to just iPhone users it sends okay. If I text individually to the Android user it sends okay. Just group texting to a mix group does not send. Any idea? Has Apple changed something to exclude Android group texts?

I am experiencing the same issue and my settings for Send as SMS is set to On. My friend recently got an Android for Christmas and now when I send a group message to him and his wife (who still has an iPhone) he will not get the message. I can send to him directly and he gets the message. When I do send to him and click send, the message area first turns blue and it shows undelivered but then it changes to greena and it gets delivered.
My "Send as SMS" is turned on yet I still cannot send a group message if even one of the recipients does not have an iPhone. Help?
Turn off imessage.

i was getting the same problem in iphone 5 with ios 7.0.4
i just turned off the group sms in setting-->messaging
my problem solved, now i can send a single sms to multiple contacts..

I have this problem too (I have a 5s running current iOS). I tried all of the above but it still doesn't work. I went to the Genius Bar at the Apple store and the tech insisted that I could not possibly have done group texting with my Group Messaging off, but it has always been off and I have been group texting. It's on now, but still no luck. She reset my cellular. She went through and turned off/on lots of things. She tried to blame my carrier (Verizon) but I can't imagine all the people on these discussion boards have the same carrier. She told me she can't help further because she would have to see the Android phone users' settings. But they have no problem group texting, with the same groups I can't text with, so I don't really think that is it. I have texted with the same two groups for several years without trouble. It's only been the past few months. I can't pinpoint whether it was when I started with iOS 7 or with one of the upgrades, but it definitely started with iOS 7 or higher. I will go back to Genius Bar when I get a chance.
Update to above. I called my carrier (Verizon). After discussion the first tech support guy transferred me to Advanced Tech Support. After going through each of the same steps as everyone else, including turning off iMessage, he "updated the switch". I cannot really explain it but something about when iOS is updated sometimes a number "falls out" or doesn't get updated along with everyone else. Mine was not updated. It appears that my problem (same as everyone above) is fixed. Give it a try, whichever carrier you use. Might work.
(I think the thing that convinced him it had to be a verizon issue was that another group member had the same version of iOS as I did but had no problems group texting to the same group).
