Removing updated apps from updates in App Store

So I updated to iOS7, and everything went well. I went in and updated my apps by clicking in the App Store app, and they all updated fine. Now, those same apps are still showing in the Updates section, but instead of saying "Update" they say "Open". I realize they have updated, but is there a way to remove them from showing in the updates section after they have actually updated?

Also, is there a way to hide purchased apps that have been deleted from my iPhone from showing in my purchased section?

This is by design now due to the Automatic Updates feature. The only way I have found to clear them is to go into Settings > General > Date & Time and turn off the automatic setting, set your month to several days/months in the future.

Then, go back to the App Store and the updates should clear. Then, go back to your Date & Time setting and change it back to automatic.

Now, how do we get rid of previously downloaded apps on the "Purchased" list on iPhone? That's the biggest problem I've seen with no solutions anywhere by anybody.
