my iphone5 won't charge after ios7 update

are you using an apple-branded charger?

there was talk that they might have built in in-compatibility with unauthorized chargers, for your safety of course.

IIt seems Apple has shafted us that bought other cords to avoid their high price. I just ordered two certified cords to try to fix this problem on my iphone5.

I Cannot charge my phone right now as the cords do not work.

My iPhone 5 will only charge when I have it plugged up to a computer and also tells me when I plug it in that

I am using the cable that came with the phone. How can this possibly be? I have a charger at home that came with my daughter's iPhone 5 that she purchased (and subsequently washed) that I am using and plugging in the to wall plug and it stopped charging altogether last nigth. WTH?

Same problem for me. Update and phone rests uncharged with original cables. No matter if plugged i to walls or laptops. An urgent solution is appreciated. It seems to be a major bug.

I went to Best Buy last night and bought 2 brand new USB charging cables and wall plug, all Apple products. Got in the car and plugged one charging cable into the USB plug in my car and did not get the message about it not being compatible anymore. Got home and plugged in the other charger and the wall unit into the wall and didn't have a single problem, no non-compatible message, phone charged fine. Still getting the above message on the charging cord that I have at the office that is plugged into my computer even though it is an Apple charging cord that came with the phone. I'm just curious to see how long it takes before my new charging cords are no longer compatible and I have to buy new ones again. Because I am confident this will happen.
