IMAP support broken in iOS 7?

I am having issues with my IMAP accounts after upgrading to iOS 7. Changes to my Inbox done on other IMAP clients are not properly reflected on the iPhone anymore, e.g. deleted mails or moved mails are still visible on the iPhone. I could not find a way to force a refresh of the Inbox, but the only way to get in sync again with the IMAP server is to delete the account and then add it again.

Anybody else experiencing a similar issue? Is there a workaround for this problem?

This seems to be a different issue. As I understand your response you couldn't connect to your mail server at all after the update. I still can connect and get new mails, but if I delete a mail on my Mac, it is not automatically deleted on the iPhone (as it worked before and should work with IMAP clients).

I had the similar problem after installing iOS 7 to my iPad. Whenever I Trashed a mail, it re-appeared wihtin seconds. I tired several settings, but the problem appears to be a bug in IMAP support. Finally I deleted my mail account and re-started the same accout as POP instaed of IMAP, and everything appears to working properly again.

I'm from Brasil and i have a great problem with IMAP on iOS 7. I'm a Terra's provider user and after the iOS 7 update, my mails from iMAP are downloaded, but after this, the mailbox is cleared, showing the message that i don't have any email. Using POP works fine ... But i want my IMAP again !

I am also having the smae issue, where mail won't download messages from my IMAP email server. I am having this issue on both my brand new iPhone 5s and my iPad2 which I just updated to iOS 7. If I delete and re-create the account it works for a while and then stops.

I talked to apple support and they had no information other than to try restoring my devices and not using a bcakup and see what happens. I guess now it is just a waiting game. I did reference this thread in my conversation with support but they tryied to insis that the issue was not with iOS.
