Wifi greyed out on iphone 4s with ios 7

Hi, I have iphone 4s, before when I update my ios to 6.1.3 I got a problem connecting to my wifi it was greyed out. I researched some tips how to solve the problem still it doesn't work. They said that if you update your ios into ios 7 the issue will be solved, however I update my ios now into ios 7, I still have the same issue, tried some troubleshooting again still problem doesn't solve, help please I cannot use my wifi. I just got my phone last year and I am having this problem, I love apple products but this is a big inconvenience to everyone who is having the same problem, help. Thanks.

Hey!

Thank you so much for the heat thing advice. It worked for my iphone 4s!!

I was afraid my wifi wouldn't get fixed, and that I had to learn how to live without it... However, I think my problem didn't come after ios 7 update... I updated it at least 2 months ago.

Now, let's see how long it will last for. Hope it's fixed forever.

I finally got around to trying the blowdryer fix and was pleasantly suprised to see it suceeded. Qustion now is for how long. Fingers crossed.

As for 7.06 there is 0% chance of me updating and losing my wifi again.

Explain to me how a blowdryer can fix software bugs.

This is a hardware issue with the wi-fi chip being too sensitive to heat. That's why the hairdyer/freezer trick 'works'. You're manipulating the wi-fi chip hardware with the temperature variances.

Trust me this works! I just did it myself and my wifi is back on.

I took a hairdryer to the earpiece until the phone said temperature too hot, power off immediately, put the phone in the freezer for 10 minutes and then take it out and let it set for another 10 minutes. Turn it back on, go to general settings>reset>reset network settings. When the phone comes back on, your wifi will be back up and running. It is a weird experience, but it works 🙂

If your iPhone is out of warranty, have a go at the heat and freeze fix.

It's been a total success for tons of iPhone users, and that includes me.

My iPhone 4S (that had problems with wifi, bluetooth and battery drain issues) is now working like a dream since doing the heat and freeze fix.

It may, or may not be a permanent fix. But even if it's not a permanent fix all that needs to be done is spend half an hour to repeat the heat and freeze again to have the phone up and running perfectly again.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
