iOS 7 Bluetooth problems

I have a Prius and the a steering wheel controls stopped working after updating to iOS 7. I can't play the next or previous song which is pretty annoying because I have to grab my phone and look for the next/previous button while driving! It was working fine with iOS 6.

I believe this is a bug. Anyone else having the same issue?

I am new to this group, but just trying to find out why my iPhone just keeps shutting off and I get an error message when I try to play my music in my car. From reading all the posts, sounds like something thats needing correcting but Apple has not corrected yet. That's just not acceptable, and I wonder if Apple has provided any responses to this problem.

I get the error message "CHECK DEVICE" when I try to use the USB plug, but Bluetooth works OK in my Subaru Legacy. Subaru says it's an Apple problem. Apple, as usual, ignores the problem completely and provides no solution since they're working on iCar instead (available on no current cars). Given that's what they're trying to sell, there's no reason to expect Apple to fix these issues on existing phones.

In Captain America: The Winter Soldier - The first avenger teams up with Falcon to unravel a sinister plot in this exciting sequel. The modern world has come as a shock to Captain America (Chris Evans). In 'The Avengers', was surprised to find that SHIELD director Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) had not been entirely truthful . Two years after the events of that film, he is united with Black Widow ( Scarlett Johansson) , but still struggles to find its place in the 21st century. Misgivings about SHIELD Now multiply when the main agent Alexander Pierce (Robert Redford) reveals a rather disturbing agenda. As our clean-cut hero becomes embroiled in a dark political conspiracy, will join up with superhero and The Falcon Kindred Spirit (Anthony Mackie) to assume the mysterious Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan). Inspired by the classic conspiracy thrillers of the seventies, this highly anticipated Marvel superhero sequel combines impressive performance with provocative moral complexity.

I've been lurking about gleaning ideas for getting my iOS7.1 to connect to my car and now it works - sort of. I have to clkick on 'connect' twice or theree times to get it to finally connect, and then it works until I shut of the engine, then I get to repeat this performance again.

The Samsung and Nokia phones in our house connect automatically every time.

Clearly, Apple still has work to do on this issue.

Has anyone thought of sending the director of investor relations at Apple a note on this? Couldn't hurt.

Further to torcano's post, my Blackberry Z10 connects to my Toyota Tacoma and everything works well.

My iPhone 5S on the other hand has some strange issues. The Panasonic built Tacoma Navigation radio doesn't like the way the iPhone stores phone numbers. The 4 one touch dial numbers on the home screen on the radio won't dial the 1 prior to the area code. So I get a message to wait while the system connects my 10 digit call. Next time I should dial 1 prior to the area code. I have of course input the 1 prior to the area code but it appears that Apple uses a different bluetooth standard than Panasonic, Blackberry, and others like Android...

I drive a 2012 Tacoma. Couldn't pair iPhone 5s as a phone AND as a music player. It was one or the other. Finally figured out that when I was done initially pairing the phone with the truck, I then had to pair it again to get music. I erased the phone from the truck system, erased the truck from the phone and paired as if brand new. When the truck's pairing process was complete as a phone, the system asked if I wanted to pair a phone (again). During my first attempts, I cancelled the process thinking the system wanted a new phone. This time I confirmed that I wanted to pair the phone again(even though I had just done so successfully). I watched the iPhone disconnect and the reconnect the car multimedia system and, Voila! Both the phone and the media systems were paired.

having owned iphone is one way to be really proud of. but it has become a shame for us to own an iPhone having a bluetooth problem after upgrading to iOs 7.1.2. until today. Apple should in no more delays provide a way or do something. i am pretty sure apple will never let the users get insulted in the market rivals of mobile world.

I have had no problems till now with my iPhone 5, and Bluetooth pairing to my Subaru's Caska 3647G Navigation Device.

But after upgrading iPhone last week to iOS 7.1.2 I can no longer pair it. The iPhone detects the Car's device, ask for PIN and after introducing it you can see the car device's name (caska) and status as connected at the phone screen.

But then when the Caska device start searching for phones, it keeps running without finding the iPhone.

I've tried several solutions as to delete devices and start again, turn off and on bluetooth, and changing the name at the car's device, but no success.

Any sugestions ?
