I can't restore my iPod

My iPod is not recogonized by iTunes or my computer and i have tried almost everything to fix this problem. I've tried 4 of the five R's because it wont restore. i can't restore it because it is not recogonized when i have it plugged in. What can i do to fix this problem?

I'm in same boat. The solutions in the link aren't helpful. The only thing in the link I haven't done is the restore. Which you can't do if Windows doesn't recognize the ipod.

Mine worked fine the first 4 weeks, then last night system doesn't know ipod is corrected. My other ipod (photo version) worked fine on this computer.

My wife and I each have a video ipod, 30 and 60 GB. The 60 GB works fine on both pc's we have, the 30GB does not. We both have the applecare. Nothing we would do would fix the problem, so we sent it in a few days ago, apple could not find anything wrong with the ipod. We will see when it comes back, if it works or not.

whenever i try to restore my ipod the updater just says intializing but when i check the task manager it says that the programs not responding. is there something wrong with my ipod or is it my computer?
