iOS 7 keep turned off my iCloud settings and asking my password

Hi,

I upgrade to iOS 7 the day before yesterday. Everything's fine until yesterday's morning. When I received a text message, I found it's shown under the tel number, rather than names from my contact list. Then I found all my setting in iCloud were turned off. I turned them on, and everything's fine after that. But today, it turned off all my settings again and stars to keep asking me sign-in my iCloud account. I checked my iCloud account settings, it seems correct for me. I can correctly get all the informations from iCloud. But it just keep asking my passwords...

Any ideas about this?

Thanks very much in advance,

I agree ... I have deleted CoC on 1st of Nov, until now I was not prompted to sign in to iCloud anymore ... I didn't get that issue after removing the app ..

It is a low memory issue for sure, I check the logs, there are tens of entries that reads lowmemory and links to CoC in particular .. I guess this is the only game I am playing now that's why.

I am surprised about this issue though, since I was playing CoC on ios 6, i never had this issue ! It must be some memory leak bug in iOS7 or something !

Guys please go to Settings> General> About> Diagnostics & Usage, then make sure to turn on the option (automatically send) ... This way, Apple will be notified about the crashes & low memory issue.

Hopefully 7.0.4 or 7.1 will be released soon to fix this ..

Hey CJ,

So, I went through all your steps, I don't wanna jinx it but thank you and I think it really worked. I restored back my iPhone 4S by downloading the 7.0.3 firmware using the iTunes, all of my mail account/apple id/game center are all logged out for almost a complete two hours and my iCloud backup still works & turned on. Then not one iCloud Verify Password/Game Center Login request prompted out for me until today.

The only stuff which I didn't use from my iCloud and turned off is Contact, Passbook, Keychain, Documents and Data and Find My iPhone.

I'll return here once again and fingers crossed that nothing will go wrong.

What I got from game developer:

"The issue you are referring to is a known Apple issue. Indeed after introducting the iCloud keychain Game Center has been crashing for some players, especially when demanding apps are used at the same time. This issue seems to be present in most older devices. We are also aware of this issue, but it is caused by iCloud and Game Center, so it is hard for us to fix it."

Waiting for Apple to fix this...

This developer is not entirely correct in what he is describing. Apple keychain was introduced in Ios 7.03. We've been having this problem since ios 7.0 with some reports of this bug even since the beta.

Maybe you can follow up with him and ask him if maybe he has some advice on who we can contact to bring some more official attention to this issue.

I'm starting to think that we need to contact "Anonymous" or some other activist group to deface their website and link it to this thread to get this **** thing fixed.

It's starting to feel like they don't want to fix it just to get us all to upgrade to a newer device! There is just no way that everytime somebody contacts them that they say it's the first they heard of this problem... that is just ridiculous!

On another note, I've been playing COC allot less lately and have also been closing all memory intensive apps running in the background and have not the issue recurr in over 2 weeks. So I can definately confirm that this looks like a memory issue and no matter which fix anybody posts, it will not fix this. It may temporarily solve it due to maybe

I'm thinking the issue is 2 fold. There is a problem with the memory handling in ios7 and some apps just use up too many resources and may their own bugs that contribute, such as a memory leak. CoC is an especially good example because after ios 7 the performance of this game on my device went down drastically while others remained the same!

The game developer's view at the moment is that they can't do much about it:

"We are keeping an eye on it to see if there is something we can do on our end, but at the moment we assume that this will be fixed by an iOS update in the near future"

They are aware of this thread and are probably following the discussion here.

Another thing: I also tried CJ's solution from page 6. Did not solve this issue.

I play alot of infinity blades but hadnt had any problems.

and the fact people had this issue in 7.0 & in beta's, when i upgraded withn the 12 hrs since it released from iOS 6.0.0 since i got it from pre ordering it, I hadnt had any problems until 2 & 1/2 weeks later after having 7.0.2 came out. What cuased it to do that on my iPod Touch 5G is a mystery and then 7.0.3 came out and still had the problem, a week later or 2, it just stopped, what cuassed it to stop is beyond me, all i have off is Passport for iCloud Backup, even thou if it is or not the problem, idk what is, crossing my fingers that i'm never have it again.

since iPhone 4/s are similar to the iPod Touch 5G, just without a carrier and just wifi, and ipod touch 5g has a 512MB dual channel while 4s has just 512MB 800MHz

pics on iT5 better than iPhone 4s but iphone 4s has abit more vise versa, ins and outs from each other. wish they stop with the hold up of behind the proccessor of the iPod Touch

Look I have posted a few weeks ago that this is an iCloud bug it is obviously something Apple needs to fix there is nothing any of us can do there is no solution Apple really screwed up on this one!!!!

I gave up on this thread already since I see everybody contacting Apple gets the same response that they never heard about this problem before which is obvious ********!!!

Basically I'm really ****** off not the only reason I came back to post another message here is this:

In the last 48 hours I have been experiencing a new screwup because of this bug I stop getting incoming phone calls !!!

FaceTime doesn't work unless I turn it off and then back on again to make calls if somebody tries to reach me they can not only on FaceTime even the regular phone calls !!!!!

Apple you couldn't have screwed up more than this if I can't even use the iPhone as a ******* phone what the **** am I supposed to do this piece of useless ****?¿?¿?¿?

Like I said before in my previous posts I am an Apple fanboy Ionut couple of Apple laptops I hooked all my family on iPhones but this is just crossing a redline this isn't just phone number's disappearing and making it very uncomfortable emails disappearing or even find my phone turning off when ever it feels like it...

This isn't even those stupid ******* crashes I'm experiencing ever since I upgraded to this ******* iOS 7!!!!

This problem just officially makes the iPhone useless even at its most basic feature just being off ******* phone!!!!!

If this is some kind of stupid ******* experiment to see if you can aggravate users with old iPhones to upgrade to newer iPhones...

I got some news for you Apple if this bug does not get fixed I will officially get the **** out of Apple products because it used to be that things just work well guess what ????

they just stopped working!!!!!!

note: I haven't read every single message in this 17-page chronical, so I'm sorry if this has been covered:

I had this same thing happening to me and after looking around for a while—and reading various ideas in this thread—I noticed that I had a previous "restore" still in process on the phone. Now, it had been well over a week and all of my apps and data seemed to be there so the restore seemingly wasn't doing anything, it was just in a zombie state, hung up on something.

I cancelled the restore process via Settings->iCloud->Storage & Backup->Stop Restore (or whatever it's called there at the bottom, I don't have it available anymore to confirm).

Since canceling that restore process a couple of days ago I haven't had a single request to sign in again.

I've never downloaded Clash of Clans before, but what you're suggesting is that the iCloud password prompt may be caused by low memory? I just downloaded Monitor Activity Touch Free onto my iPhone 4S and discovered that my free RAM fluctuates between 10-30MB out of 512MB with 15 applications open. I'll try shutting down all applications to see if that gets rid of the prompt.

Note: I've been canceling out of the password prompt for now to avoid having my contacts disappear. It's annoying but better than having to freak out when everything disappears.

Hey guys,

I've been using my new iPhone 5S for several days now with absolutely no issues. I loaded the iCloud backup from my 4S to the new 5S too. Zero issues. iCloud backup working exactly as it's supposed to. No password prompt and several successful backups. iCloud and Find My Phone staying on like they are supposed to. Custom ringtones and custom text sounds assigned to various contacts staying like they should and not resetting. Etc. etc. Everything is working exactly as you would expect. A very nice experience.

Diagnostic and usage data shows one or two Clash of Clans crashes but nothing like before. Also, no low memory logs.

This confirms what we've all suspected/known since iOS7. This is only plaguing older iDevices with A5 processors and low 512MB of RAM. The fact I had the issue before and restored all my data to a new 5S and no longer have the issue supports this theory.

I wish you all luck and hope Apple resolves this issue quickly for those of you unable or unwilling to upgrade to a new iPhone. Apple should have disallowed iOS7 on these devices in my opinion and it is odd that they did not when Apple is typically very concerned with user experience. All you guys can do is sit and wait. Nothing you do on your end will resolve this issue unless you eliminate every processor intensive app on your phones and religiously keep all other apps closed from back grounding. Even then, I imagine iCloud will still occasionally erase. I also imagine the backup prompt issue will remain no matter what unless you turn iCloud backup off.

Good luck guys! I'll likely unsubscribe from this thread now.
