iOS 7 keep turned off my iCloud settings and asking my password

Hi,

I upgrade to iOS 7 the day before yesterday. Everything's fine until yesterday's morning. When I received a text message, I found it's shown under the tel number, rather than names from my contact list. Then I found all my setting in iCloud were turned off. I turned them on, and everything's fine after that. But today, it turned off all my settings again and stars to keep asking me sign-in my iCloud account. I checked my iCloud account settings, it seems correct for me. I can correctly get all the informations from iCloud. But it just keep asking my passwords...

Any ideas about this?

Thanks very much in advance,

s.c

I got the iCloud password prompt last night again on my iPad 2 after I exited the calendar app. I canceled and went in and cleared out and entered my password in the iCloud Settings and did so again for good measure in the iCloud account in Mail, Contacts and Calendars settings. I then restarted my iPad and it seemed ok.

I don't want to have to keep doing this every few days though. The longest I've seen it not have a problem is almost a week. I don't have any iCloud games or anything so that's not it.

Has anyone come up with a permanent fix? Has anyone tried resetting all settings or resettings all network settings? If so did that solve the problem?

Alright people, lets stop talking about the Hey crap BS stupid game already alright? I dont have any game related to Hay Day/Clash releated to the same developer ok, bc its not that bc I don't have it, so it has to be somthing else, havent had much any issues except for Safari crashing alot time to time. Even thou I may have over 245 apps doesn't mean Hay Day developer is cuasing this issue so this has to be somthing else besides gamecenter and apps, Somewhere in the OS, there's a bug which makes it triggered to make it go off.

I found a post on MacRumors stating it's been a problem since iOS 7 beta 4. If so, that's really annoying that it's been around that long.

I haven't seen a lot of posts about it though, so it apparently isn't that widespread. It does appear to only affect the iPhone 4, 4S and iPad 2. My guess then is that it may have to so with the limited memory on those devices. I know my iPad 2 is constantly killing apps do to low memory. It might be killing iCloud component as well. Restarting seems to fix things and that clears out memory.

Hi guys I have a 32GB iPhone 4S running iOS 7.0.2, and like all of you, my iCloud was from time to time loosing all its configuration, turning off Find my iPhone and asking for the password.

Here is what I did to solve the problem:

1) deleted your iCloud backup (Settings - iCloud - Storage & Backup - Manage Storage)

- Select you device and choose Delete Backup

- When prompted select Turn Off & Delete

2) Go back to iCloud and delete your account (Settings - iCloud - Delete Account)

- when prompt choose Delete

- when prompt again choose Keep on My Iphone (to keep the data on your phone)

3) Launch iTunes on your Mac/PC and make a backup for your phone

4) Now from iTunes, choose the restore buttum

5) When the restore is done, choose the option to restore the data from the backup from iTunes

6) Wait until all your data is sync back to your phone from the latest backup you made on step 3

7) Now on your iPhone, go to Settings - iCloud and put your user/password again

- when prompt, chose the option to combine the data

Done!

It's been 2 days and I was not prompted for my iCloud password, or the iCloud looses it's configuration.

Hope it helps

We have 4 iPhone 4s in our home. Out of 4, only 1 is having this problem. My wife, daughter and I do not play Clash of Clans, where as my son does and he is the only one haveing these problems. All the settings are the same except my son has scheduled DND turned on. I have turned this feature off and will see if that is the issue with his particular phone, but I can vouch that it's not just a generic 4s problem or we'd all be having it. If the DND turned off doesn't sort out the problem, then it's not too far of a stretch to think it could be the game.?

Well, it's been a few days now guys and my iCloud hasn't shut itself off or find my iPhone. I'm still playing CoC daily and the GameCenter login issues have seemed to go away as well. Performance wise, I don't notice nearly as much lag.

And for those of you wondering why I mentioned Clash of Clans initially....well it does appear that it is a very common (yes, not everyone) theme for the vast majority of us. And the reason I first brought it up is because I would notice when launching the game, it would try to log into GC but the banner at the top wouldn't appear. Lag would be horrible. I would then exit the app, go into iCloud settings, and bam....everything shut off. I'm telling you....there is a connection here.

The iCloud backup issue might be separate and more related to DND. I've had iCloud backup disabled for a week now so I haven't been seeing the error. Appreciate those that have posted "nuclear" fixes (all the deleting and re-adding, etc.), but I've tried all of that and it won't work. As I said awhile ago, this is an Apple/Possibly Games issue and it's up to Apple and developers to fix it. I'm fairly certain there is nothing we can do.

The DND with iCloud backup makes sense for my personal experience as I have seen my iPhone backup to the cloud automatically during the day, but when I turn DND on at night before I go to sleep, I see the iCloud password prompt in the morning when I wake up. So it very well could be a DND issue. I will tun iCloud backup back on and leave DND off for awhile. See if that works. Not a fix, obviously, but it isolates and identifies the cause. Again, Apple will have to fix.

Good discussion so far everyone!

iPhone 4S, iOS 7.0.2 Bugs that annoyed the FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF out of me:

-Contact lost

-Gamecenter keeps logging out

-iCloud verifying password keeps popping out

-iCloud Back-up (Photostream & the rest) always turned off.

-Find My iPhone turned off continuously

Before I start raging, I'd like to thank Apple not fixing the first but lousy bugs in iOS 7.0.2 with the consequence of losing all of my businesses customer's contact..

Give it a few more days it will come back.

I've found hpthe pattern. If you run apps that store documents and/or data in iCloud it will happen. It's just a matter of time. Both times I first noticed it, I was playing a game that backs up it's game data to iCloud. Game Center doesn't matter, it's iCloud save data that does. Next time I saw it was when backing up failed. Next time I saw it was when using Calendar. Just now I saw it paying the same game that triggered it the first time. All my iCloud services were off and all iCloud dats is removed (I think PhotoStream is the most annoying, other than find my iPhone/iPad since photos are "lost").

Anyway it's defiantly an issue with accessing iCloud Documents and Data, though why it only affects older devices I don't know. I've gone from seeing once a week to every other day.

The only "fix" is a reboot. Simply turning iCloud back on won't work since it will simply prompt for the password over and over again. Rebooting will get iCloud working until it decides to break again. When that is depends on how much you are using iCloud.

I'm inclined to state that DND is not related;

This is what I did yesterday: (4:45 AM forum time)

Trying the Do Not Disturb thing now;

- Closed all apps

- Turned "Do Not Disturb" off

- Turned "Find my iPhone" on (it had turned off again automatically)

- Restarting phone

- Profit? We'll see in a few days...

Now 30 mins ago:

- All contacts gone

- All calendar events gone

- All iClound sync turned off

- iCloud backup turned off

- But strangely "Find my iPhone" was still switched on!

I closed all apps again, restarted the phone and turned all of the above back on. The phone did NOT ask for iCloud password at all.

However, I can't turn "Notes" synchronization on, since it just prompts me to get an "@icloud.com" address. I can't remember if I had this turned on previously or not so this might not be related.

I'm still getting the huge lag in games during Game Center login.

I've had this problem just today, and so far I've only been prompted for my iCloud password once. I didn't think anything of it, until I got an iMessage and it displayed under the phone number and not the name. I've now reactivated all of the iCloud settings, so will wait to see if I'm prompted again for my password or not. Using an iPhone 4S with iOS7 (not 7.0.2 yet).
