iOS 7 keep turned off my iCloud settings and asking my password

Hi,

I upgrade to iOS 7 the day before yesterday. Everything's fine until yesterday's morning. When I received a text message, I found it's shown under the tel number, rather than names from my contact list. Then I found all my setting in iCloud were turned off. I turned them on, and everything's fine after that. But today, it turned off all my settings again and stars to keep asking me sign-in my iCloud account. I checked my iCloud account settings, it seems correct for me. I can correctly get all the informations from iCloud. But it just keep asking my passwords...

Any ideas about this?

Thanks very much in advance,

I had a thought since this problem, while happening to many people, isn't happening to everyone.

Does anyone experiencing this problem use the same Apple ID for everything? I use a different Apple ID for iTunes (and Game Center) than I do for iCloud, FaceTime and iMessage. I'm wondering if that's a contributing factor or not.

Hi guys I have a 32GB iPhone 4S running iOS 7.0.2, and like all of you, my iCloud was from time to time loosing all its configuration, turning off Find my iPhone and asking for the password.

Here is what I did to solve the problem:

1) deleted your iCloud backup (Settings - iCloud - Storage & Backup - Manage Storage)

- Select you device and choose Delete Backup

- When prompted select Turn Off & Delete

2) Go back to iCloud and delete your account (Settings - iCloud - Delete Account)

- when prompt choose Delete

- when prompt again choose Keep on My Iphone (to keep the data on your phone)

3) Launch iTunes on your Mac/PC and make a backup for your phone

4) Now from iTunes, choose the restore buttum

5) When the restore is done, choose the option to restore the data from the backup from iTunes

6) Wait until all your data is sync back to your phone from the latest backup you made on step 3

7) Now on your iPhone, go to Settings - iCloud and put your user/password again

- when prompt, chose the option to combine the data

Done!

It's been 2 days and I was not prompted for my iCloud password, or the iCloud looses it's configuration.

Hope it helps

I decided to try this. I'll see how well it works. On a side note, when I turned iCloud backup back on after doing this, it backed up really quickly, despite claiming to have backed up 1.5 GB worth of data, which is impossible. Did your backup complete very quickyly after you did this?

On a side note, I called AppleCare to ask about the backup issue (didn't know) and while speaking to a "Senior" support agent I asked about the problem documented in this thread. He had never heard of this problem before. 😠

I have the iPad Mini, same problem, although I didn't have it on my 4S that I used throughout the betas, and don't have it on my 5 or 5S. All were restored from backups following the iOS 7 upgrade.

Definitely something to do with Documents and Data, as it is deleting data that syncs through iCloud, as well as disabling Find My Phone.

so far this problem has not recurred with me after disabling DND but i still get password prompts once in a while but it seemd to have resolved the biggest problem

been about 3-4 days so far

and morac, regarding itunes accounts, on my iphone i use the same account for everything but on my wife's phone she has her own account for icloud but uses my account for app store

Yea I just noticed today that "find my iphone" was off but everything else was still on. First time it happened this way. So it seems to look like DND did have soe kind of effect.

Im going to try and call up apple again. Ive had major issues trying to get back in contact with the apple advisors after the first phone call since they are always busy and cannot call me back! So far Ive had to switch advisors twice 😟

On page 8 of this discussion I made a sugestion that worked for me. If someone else could try that and see if it works for you. Don't forget to post the results

Addition information from my side:

1) I play clash of clans on my phone and ipad. Still not sure why poeple think the game could cause the icloud issue....

2) I don't use the DND settings at all

3) I use the same email account for both my itunes and icloud setup

Hope it helps

I have officially tried every single solution offered in this thread from DND to Erasing clash of clans to restoring all of my phone 3 times from iTunes and from iCloud nothing works!!!!!

This is obviously an Apple bug which for some reason they are ignoring!!!

I even tried going with This thread to some of the big gadget sites

Waiting on replies from them...

I think it's time if Apple doesn't want to work on it and is just trying to ignore us we make some noise!!!

More than a few here in this thread already went and tried to report this to Apple and obviously they're not even responding to this problem!!!!

I have to say I've been in Apple fan for quite some time and this is the first time I am sincerely disappointed...

At least if they would tell one of us that they know the problem exists and that they're working on it I would be more re-insured then reading in this thread that when somebody went to Apple with this bug they didn't even know about it!!!

I think it's time we understand everybody in this thread has to start making noise in other forms And gadget sites until somebody posts this and this comes a well-known knowledge that this problem really exists only then maybe Apple will finally start working on this problem!!!

And I'm just going to repeat this again ... non-of the solutions in this thread work nothing!!!!!

I appreciate some of you trying to help but if you really want to help start making some noise!!!
