iOS 7 keep turned off my iCloud settings and asking my password

Hi,

I upgrade to iOS 7 the day before yesterday. Everything's fine until yesterday's morning. When I received a text message, I found it's shown under the tel number, rather than names from my contact list. Then I found all my setting in iCloud were turned off. I turned them on, and everything's fine after that. But today, it turned off all my settings again and stars to keep asking me sign-in my iCloud account. I checked my iCloud account settings, it seems correct for me. I can correctly get all the informations from iCloud. But it just keep asking my passwords...

Any ideas about this?

Thanks very much in advance,

Conducted an experiment. Did not play in the CoC, everything works fine 3-4 days. CoC run for 5-10 minutes icloud settings are reset. My conclusion is, when you run memory-demanding applications IOS "kills" icloud. Perhaps this is a new bug in the release from memory. Or a hole in the protection system application. It also occasionally happens when a resource-intensive application you have, but most quickly caught with the CoC.

Exactly prophet, I think you are spot on. It may not be JUST CoC (Clash of Clans)....but the fact it is a VERY processor intensive game and a resource hog. Think about it. Why is this ONLY happening on iPhone 4S and older phones? I think we all agree on that, right? Because they have lower RAM and slower processors than the 5 or 5S. I think iOS7 now requires more memory (just like any operating system when you upgrade), and the 4S struggles at times with processor intensive applications. The iOS panics and for some reason, iCloud gets wiped. I've been closing all applications before playing CoC but still occasionally get the problem, although not nearly as often.

Again, this is an Apple problem. Like Kassiff, I have tried almost every solution posed here (before I even joined this thread) and none of them work. Once your device's memory gets low enough to crash the OS, this issue appears.

Has eveyone gone to their settings/general/about/diagnostics & usage/diagnostics & usage data? What error logs do you see? These are the ones sent to Apple if you agree to the "send Apple diagnstic data to improve experience, etc." prompt when you first got your phone. I don't know about you guys but I see a TON of low memory logs and several CoC crashes (due to low memory I'm sure).

As for the iCloud backup issue.....you got me there. I would lean towards the DND bug. It's the only thing that makes any sense. It certainly isn't low memory. Has anyone disabled DND for a long period of time and had the iCloud password issue resolved? Would be interesting to know.

I am thinking the iCloud password request issue and the iCloud disable issue are two separate issues.

Does CoC use iCloud saves? I've run a lot of memory intensive apps and the only time I've ever run into this problem is after using an app that accesses iCloud and even then it's not all the time.

You could be on to something though. It could be if the device tries to access iCloud data when there is not enought free memory to do so. I think the next time I run into this problem, I'll try running the iPhone Configuration Utiltiy to look at the console logs and see if I can figure out what it is doing.

I have an old logging profile that Apple sent me a while back to diagnose battery issues. It makes changes to configuration to log extra data (battery info, cloud access, etc), but I don't know if it is compatible with iOS 7. If the problem happens again I could also try installing that.

Sry but I dissagree the issues of Gamecenter and Clash of Clams and Do Not Disturbe.

BC..,.

1.) I dont ever play that game

2.) Not Gamecenter bc i never have any problems with it and the 75 other games i have

3.) I've never turned off DND

I found this and i did it and I had never had any problem since.

(i cant find the link but do this)

Settings>FaceTime>Apple ID>Sign Out

Then,

Settings> Messages>Apple ID>Sign Out

Reboot, then Sign In, FaceTime then Messages

Yes, via GameCenter. And sometimes CoC struggles to log into GameCenter at the launch of the app and the app crashes (most likely due to low memory).

Just a theory right now as I can't prove anything, but it makes sense to me.

Odd I use an app daily that saves game data to GameCenter, but never ran into this problem until I ran another app that uses iCloud save. Then again, I'm using a different Apple ID for GameCenter than I am for iCloud. I'm wondering if this could be an iCloud issue as well. Though that doesn't explain why I don't see the problem on my iPhone 5S.

I don't see how that could possible help and FaceTime and Message don't even technically use the iCloud account, other than to grab the email addresses. You can delete your iCloud accout off your device and still use FaceTime and Messages.

I haven't had any problems since i did it and that was like somtime last week.

There's like a different configuration between the 2. Doing that by iCloud is for icloud settings only, but this configuration is a striaght shot to your device.

Only problems that I am having problems since 7.0.2 after 2 weeks later updating with no problems from 7.0.0 is that my safari crashes 70% of the time.

Okay so I just spoke to Apple support!!!

The first representative that not know how to take care of this problem she passed me on to her supervisor which also had no idea how to fix the problem and was also very rude after you wanted to connect me in the call was an engineer after I told him I'm not currently in the US he said that I should go to my local Apple store and get my problem fixed there...

And this was after more then an hour I was on the support chat with Apple...

And then he just hanged up the chat just disconnected me like I was nothing...

So Apple once again I am going to repeat what I said before

I used to be a very big fan of Apple but this is just crossing the line!!!!

There is no solution with flicking do not disturb or logging off from FaceTime or iMessages these are all not solutions they do nothing I have tried them all nothing works iOS 7 is just full of bugs it shouldn't have been released!!!!!

And for the nice representative that disconnected my chat I say F*** you !!!!

My iPad 2 has been okay since I did the restore, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time before the problem happens again.

The game that I played that originally seemed to trigger this problem (Injustice) is having a temporary in-game promo. I want to do it, but I'm afraid it will trigger the bug. I don't want to have to do a restore every time I play that game.

Maybe rebooting before playing will help since it will free up memory. If there is a memory leak, maybe it will be fixed in iOS 7.0.3.

Out of curiosity, has anyone seen this problem on a iPad 3/4 or iPhone 5/5C/5S?

Oct 16, 2013 1:39 AM in response to harenc

I've done a restore, but I still get questions about my icloud password when it wants to do a backup. If I've plugged it in and it's locked and connected to wifi, as soon as I unlock it, I'm greeted by a prompt asking me for my icloud password.

Find my iphone and my picture streams hasn't been deactivated like before though, and I don't get asked when starting a game either, that's the only positive.

This is very annoying.

Hi Folks,

in addition to every step i already done and posted back, includes but not only:

1. Remove iCloud account from my device and readd it.

2. Erase the device and configure it as new.

3. Reset the AppleID Password.

4. Remove iCloud Account and readd the account using the iCloud Aliasxxxx@icloud.com instead my primary mail.

5. Reset Network Settings.

It seems that icloud settings turned off when the device running out of memory, it happen repeatly (but not always) after i going into clash of clans, p.s. since ios 7 clash of clans working very slow, looks like he has troubles with the game center integration.

I tried whole day to work with the device with entering any game, the password prompt only appeared in the iCloud Backup "Verify", but when the device has tons of application in the memory and running slow the icloud settings turned off.

i called the support team for few times in the states, the only soultion they offered is to restore the device via itunes, but this didn't help also, i'm frustrated from ios 7 password issue any the support doesn't help at all.

what can we do???
