iOS 7 keep turned off my iCloud settings and asking my password

Hi,

I upgrade to iOS 7 the day before yesterday. Everything's fine until yesterday's morning. When I received a text message, I found it's shown under the tel number, rather than names from my contact list. Then I found all my setting in iCloud were turned off. I turned them on, and everything's fine after that. But today, it turned off all my settings again and stars to keep asking me sign-in my iCloud account. I checked my iCloud account settings, it seems correct for me. I can correctly get all the informations from iCloud. But it just keep asking my passwords...

Any ideas about this?

Thanks very much in advance,

Well today I just confirmed that DND strange as it may sound, definately affects this.

After not having this problem for about a week, last night I turned on DND and this morning when I turned it off I was reading my emails and suddenly a bunch of my emails dissapeared. Sure enough, I went into settings and everything turned off.

I'm going to try to reproduce this again today. If it's reproduceable it should be easyer to fix.

I've done a restore, but I still get questions about my icloud password when it wants to do a backup. If I've plugged it in and it's locked and connected to wifi, as soon as I unlock it, I'm greeted by a prompt asking me for my icloud password.

Find my iphone and my picture streams hasn't been deactivated like before though, and I don't get asked when starting a game either, that's the only positive.

This is very annoying.

If it's asking for the iCloud password every single time you try to do the backup, even after restarting the phone, I'd recommend deleting the backup and let it create a new one. If it does it occasionally or you seen iCloud turn itself off, then it's likely this problem.

Same crazy stuff going on here.

Apple iphone 4s. Find my iphone keeps automatically turning itself off. I have even set up the restrictions page to not allow it to be modified without a password, but it seems to be able to turn itself off due to some glitch in the ios 7.

******* me off!

I once tracked my phone to some guys house after losing it on a bike ride. The dude was so shocked I knew where it was, he just handed it over to me.

So come on APPLE! your screwing up my confidence!

I'll join the gang. Have had these same issues since iOS7 update. Problems are slightly different from day to day but basic issues remain the same: logging out of icloud, turning off findmyiphone asking icloud password several times a day...

Trying to cope with it by entering the pw all the time and turning basically everything absolutely not necessary off (background updates etc).

I have iPhone 4s... Play CoC and Candycrush.

The very reason I have liked iPhone has been that it WORKS... Or used to work. So disappointed...

I have the same exact problem.

Just got my iPad mini last week & have only used 10% of memory so it's not that

-Game Centre is super laggy loading up

- my games are not syncing to my GC; even after I have logged out reboot and logged in again

-iCloud verifying password keeps popping up ALL THE TIME

-from yesterday Oct 16th 2013 my iTunes turned off as well by its own and when I try keying in my Apple ID u/name and password it's saying 'Cannot connect to iTunes Store'

-hence I can't download any new apps

-I use my iCloud accounts for everything & anything I can so this is super frustrating

-have tried literally everything on this forum and everything I could

- tried asking for. Help from Apple people in KL because that's where I'm at but they only said "Oh this is the first time we have encountered this problem " and NOTHING MORE

This is not happening on my year old iPad and my iPhone (iCloud,iTunes, GC, etc.)

All data I save on iCloud is synchronising with each other but not the iPad mini

Everything on those working fine and everything is on ios7.0.2 including the new iPad mini

:( I'm so sad coz this was my quarter of a century bday gift to myself and grew up with Apple I have never been so disappointed

So here what I did according to all the things you wrote. Yeah I play Hay Day and i noticed that issues after having 7.0.2 already installed on my 4S. But here all the steps:

  1. Backup via iTunes or iCloud (I used iCloud) - just for safety reasons
  2. Remove your iCloud account
  3. Shutdown your iDevice (I did this for at least 1 hour since someone wrote about some expiring sessions)
  4. CHECK YOUR iCloud/AppleID PASSWORD AGAINST APPLE's PASSWORD POLICY (i had an old one which didn't meet the current requirements - well i changed it some hours earlier but this might be a possible issue)

    maybe set a new password

  5. Turn on your iDevice after that time
  6. Add iCloud again - here I finally used my @icloud.com address instead of my usual apple id
  7. After that i had been asked only once for iCloud backup password!

I did this 7 days ago and was asked only once for the iCloud backup password the morning after doing these steps - then I waited before writing this down. It really worked for me.

Some additional information: I didn't play HayDay anymore since i worked through these steps - just because of the game not because of a potential bug.

Hope this is helpful for some of you!

@Gandalf I was going to ask the same thing, why is it looking like we are all outside the USA? That is really wierd!

I'll be traveling to the US next month and if i still have this problem I will definately be having really long conversations with customer support.

One other thing I can suggest everyone in this thread to do is go to settings>about>diagnostics & usage and enable "automatically send" if you dont already have it on. This way atleast error logs will get sent to apple so that their software guys may eventually get around to finding this bug.

I'm not outside the USA.

I decided to take a chance after having had no problems since I did the restore on Saturday and played Injustice - Gods Among Us. I played a match, quit and checked and iCloud was still on, so I played a few more matches. In all I played less than 10 minutes, when I checked, of course iCloud was turned off and all my iCloud data was gone. Find My iPad was still on though.

I turned all the iCloud services back on and they went on without prompting for my iCloud password. Of course I lost all my old PhotoStream photos and all the contacts lost their assigned ringtones.

This is really annoying. It basically means I can't play any games that use iCloud saves. That or I have to turn off Documents and Data.

On a related note, I decided to run the iPhone Configuration Utilty's logging functionality while playing the the game and it was reporting all kinds of problems before the program died because it ran out of memory (really crappy program). I saw errors for the following items:

com.apple.launchd

accountsd

securityd

aosnotifyd

dataaccessd

There's definately bugs there. I really hope Apple fixes this.

Oct 18, 2013 4:11 AM in response to Morac

Morac have you been in contact with apple at all?

This morning I played COC again and right away after, the problem popped up again. So this definately has to do with either the high memory usage of the game or the fact that it saves to icloud.

Im going to try and disable background app refresh and see if maybe that may free up some resources since that's a new feature that Im sure is using up allot of resources

Oct 19, 2013 5:14 AM in response to Tumberry

7.0.2 is not a solution. Many of us are on 7.0.2 and still having this issue.

I turned iCloud backup on about a week ago and haven't seen the password yet. I'm sure it's only a matter of time. I did have a successful iCloud backup yesterday while the phone was charging and idle without a password prompt. Dumb luck probably. Will keep y'all posted.

And FYI, I'm in the US.

Oct 19, 2013 5:36 AM in response to Josh Scott

No 7.0.2 does not solve this. I updated when that update became available with no difference.

Last days have been better after I turned off all resource heavy things: background updates, automatic updates, siri, ... Basically everything that can be turned off. Even access to control center within apps and the likes.

My guess is that somehow iPhone 4 and 4S are running out of memory on ios7. I have several LowMemory reports in my Diagnostics&Usage data.

BTW. I'm from Finland.
