iOS 7 iPhone 5 white blotch on top left corner of Screen

I have noticed a white blotch appearing and disappearing since I updated to iOS 7 on my iPhone 5 64 GB. This happens at a few places:

1. opening the calculator app from control centre and closing it by pressing home button

2. opening and closing any apps by tapping on "open" from the AppStore update tab.

This is repeatable, I have not tried this on other iOS 7 devices so far but friends of mine have said that they haven't seen this. Has anyone else seen this happening on their phone? Is this a bug? Is there a fix?

Cheers!🙂

I think the gmaps icon and the apple zoom feature together cause the issue. Thats why the placement of the gmaps app affects this. its the big white g zooming off the screen and it pauses for a second. I moved the app one over and the disc was happening on the right side. Then I moved it all the way to the bottom and it stopped happening. Guess it could happen with others icons too.

I figured out how 2 ways to correct the issue momentarily. Really it's only a work around to remove the spot.

1. The shows only on apps in a folder and the folder is on the top 2 rows. To remove the spot from showing, move whatever folder holds the apps showing the spot to a lower row on your phone.

2. Turn on Reduce Motion and your apps will fade in and out and the spot is gone as well.

Has nothing to do with length of name. I have been working with Apple Managers and Dev Team to correct.

Moving apps/folders to which include any apps that because this issue to lower parts of your screen will correct the issue.

Iphone 5 16gb IOS 7.1

Same/similar issue

Whether opening an app directly, or spotlight search and opening. (Possibly more prevalent through search)

White "Blob" that appears to be a piece of text zoomed in very far and pixelated located on either the top left or right of the screen after the app launches.

I've had this issue for a long time. Definitely since the IOS 7.0, but yet not the entire time.

Maybe only the last 4-6? Months?

I checked my Google maps location, and found it in a folder on the second page.

However, I did have Google chrome in a folder on page one, column two, row two.

I moved it to page two, to no avail.

Then I moved Gmail from page one, row two, column three to page two. And for now, the problem seems gone.

I'll play with it more and see if I can duplicate it by replacing apps to their old locations.

Maybe I'll get overly ambitious and post up a video

Weird huh?

Figure out which apps because the spot. Them move those to a new folder lower on your screen. Preferably bottom 2 rows. Should fix your issue.
