iPhone 5, iOS 7, itunes 11.1 for mac
John,
I had the same both on my Ipad 2 and Iphone 5, your tip helped me out, THANKS!
i have same problem with iphone 4s running ios7. i can't sync any photos, apps, songs. anyone can help me, pls
I'm not entirely sure if this is a fix but I ended up going to the Itunes Store going to the Purchases section and then downloading all my apps "not on this computer" (this is what I wanted to sync) once I did that I stopped getting an error message about losing my purchases so I could update to iso7 and didn't lose any of my app data.
I'm still getting the authorization message but everything has synced.
Chloe
Thanks John!
This solved my problem. I had to authorized my new mac with wife's Apple id and now all my apps sync perfectly!
Dear John,
BRILLIANT!! It works!!!! Thanks for this!
For others, follow John's work around. GO to say tones, select, unselect the list, or go to Music and change the play list, then select your original settings, and click on APPLY. It will sync all the wat through. In case it gives u the same error, disconnect and reconnect the phone to itunes, DONT SAY SYNC, fiddle with itunes as above, a setting here or there and let it synch itslef.
then it works.
WHile John, had found this solution, AGAIN, we have Users solving APPLE's issues. Can they look at these forums and fix the problems themselves????????
Just updated to iOS 7.0.2 on my iPhone 4 - iTunes 11.1 - giving the same error. Tried john_petrucci's tip, but this also did not work. 😢
C'mon Apple!
John_Petrucci,
excellent idea!!!! It worked!!! Meanwhile, we can wait Apple to release a fix for that problem... THANKS!!!!
I contacted iTunes Support and got referred to this KB article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1389
Following the instructions to delete the SC Info folder, and then authorizing my computer for each of my iTunes accounts solved the problem.
This solution worked perfectly for me. Thanks so much!

if youre using pphelper to sync cracked apps, this error would probably occur.

hey john tell me how to authorize it . please
hey please tell me how to authorize it.
Hi I had the same problem I created a new Apple ID with the icloud email and it seems to be working now. :)
I found out the solution. You need to authorise your computer if you have muliple itune ids. I used alternate id earlier to purchase an app when my current id is having some problem. I logged in using that id and authorize the computer again, which solved this issue for me. Hope this helps.
