iPhone 5 with iOS 7 randomly shuts off

Are any of you aware of iOS 7 randomly shutting down iPhones? Ever since I upgraded 2 day ago it has shut down at least 3 times. The battery was at about 18%, 20%, and 36% when it shut down. I don't believe it’s a bug with the battery percentage because it started back up as soon as hit the power button. Also, it is not due to overheating or anything else wrong with the environment. Nothing in the environment has changed except that I updated to iOS 7. Let me know if this occurs to anyone else and if there are any solutions pending?

Same issue here - iPhone 5, now convieniently 4 days out of its one year factory warranty. Sounds like a FW or SW issue adn I will try the DFU mentioned on page one in this thread. Hopfully that will help. Device was working perfectly up to now, and only started happening about a week ago (updates to iOS 7 the day it was released).

At first it looks like a battery problem, maybe its a software one. I already try the restore mi iphone 5 using DFU mode, but same still happens, so that was not the solution for me. There's a lot of people with the same problem, i hope apple fix this problem because im getting crazy.

Another problem happens when im charging the phone, the charge level pass from 60% to 100% (for example). This is happening with you too??

I've having a similar issue. I have both a 5 and 5S. Had my 5 for over a year without a single problem. Now, on iOS7, I'm having random shut down issues. It doesn't matter what the charge level is, the phone will shutdown, and then display a dead battery and tell me to plug it in. If I plug it in, or wait about 5 min, the phone will restart and the charge level will return to whatever it was. I had it die with a battery life of over 95%

The 5S is having the same problem, but more frequently. I've emailed iPhone support about the problem. Hopefully they can address the issue and make a patch. It's pretty bad that the phones are just shutting off.

Hi,

I just sent a bug report, too; probably we should do it all so that Apple can take this issue as top priority to solve. I also gave the link to this discussion so that they can see how many people are having the same problem. I hope this problem is solved soon, since this started to happen like almost everyday for the last couple of weeks ruining my days in many sense.

I'm also having this issue with my iphone 4. Tried the DFU, set it up as a new phone - didn't help. I managed to downgrade to iOS 6.1.3, tried with and without backup (set up as new phone) - but the problem remains. The phone keeps shutting off 10+ times a day. Its totally unusable.

Hope sending a feedback to Apple will help.
