IOS 7 Music videos

I knew I will be somehow disappointed when I upgraded to iOS 7, with something I use frequently and every day while am in the car or at the GYM or walking around.

Again the issue with the music player , music videos doesn't play in full screen anymore why !!

It plays the video in small square window and if u tilt the iPhone it won't show full screen instead the sound wall will be displayed. At least make an option to make us chose to enable or disable the sound wall.

But basically I want to have the full frame video.

Or in video app try to enable creating playlist and to enable jump to next video or previous video.

Though I see it stupid option the whole video app, basically because I like to listen to mix list video and sound only specially if am at the GYM or walking around.

Really guys I know u r stubborn and hardly listen to people opinion but why you have to screw something nice you have achieved. music player were nice app instead you screwed it up... Not enough am not using the map anymore you want us to band the music app as well...

Do something soon for god sake.

One more issue .. Am searching for a song in my list the search find it but when I click on it , it won't play as if you are telling me "yea, right! You have it in your play list" and then what!!!

Or simply tell me how to solve the issue maybe I have lack of information!

I recommend the following procedure to fix your problem. Please backup your iPhone 5S using the latest iTunes version. Then perform a factory reset using "Settings > General > Reset, then tap Erase All Content and Settings".

Then turn on your iPhone and complete the Setup Assistant by selecting your language and country, and choose whether to enable Location Services. When prompted, choose your Wi-Fi network.

If you don’t have a Wi-Fi or cellular data connection, you can also activate by tapping "Connect to iTunes".

When prompted to set up your device, select "Restore from iTunes Backup".

I hope that will fix your problem.

Thanks again for your help, here is what I found, I started a new play list and in my itunes library about 60% of the music is DRM protected, the rest I was able to add and it plays full screen however it does have the controls along the top so not a good as it use to be but way better thaniOS7 Any idea on how to getrid of the DRM protected? The more I work through this the more I see Apple moving to: if you want to play music on our devise you have to buy it from iTunes and when you do, well tell u how and you can't play it any ware else.... My sense is to start planning the move to Android... I hate to think how much time it will take to switch over... I hope I can get the rest of my music playing.,,, thanks

The music app should work just like the Apple TV which gives you an option to shuffle music videos that's why there is a tag for music videos and skip when shuffling option. Bands like U2 and the RHCP typically have 3-4 music videos from their albums. I put the music videos in the same folder as the album. However, for the video. I check no for skip when shuffling, for the song or mp3 I check yes for skip when shuffling. When the album plays or shuffle all songs the video plays rather than the mp3. It a great feature. In addition, I rip concert DVDs into individual songs with the proper track numbering and include them as an album in the Band's folder. When I shuffle my entire collection these songs play with the video. Once I discovered this major flaw in IOS7, I went to my Apple TVs and set auto updates to off. The reason I spent the coin for a 64 gb Iphone is to put my music and video collection on it not to download 100s of useless apps. Of the 6400 songs I have, 2500 are music videos that I painstakling went through converted and/or made compatible with Apple hardware - all tagged properly. And no I should not and will not buy an app to do a basic function of a media player. And technically, there should not be a video app. That's why there are options in Itunes to tag the media correctly.

This is a joke and I'm not happy about it

Either. If Apple reads this then I would like

A refund on all the music videos I've purchased

From them. I play listed them to use at gym and

In my car and now I can't unless I buy an app. Why

Change something when there's nothing wrong with it

I ain't buying **** from their store and won't be buying

The 5s 64gb like I was planing to, unless they resolve this

Soon. Now I have a phone I paid £700 for that won't do what

I brought it for unless I buy an app to do what it did original, I know

It's only a few quid for the app but it's the principle of the matter.

That was a great feature. MUPPETS!!!!!!

Yes, but you can play continous music from playlist, so its useless. Everyone needs to submit a request for refund on all music videos purchased from iTunes unless this is fixed. Appraently Apple is getting out of the music video business. I see no other logical explaination for the removal of this function.

Just give us the refund and we can purchase the music videos from Google Play!

catscanjim - states the following: The itunes app never worked that well anyway for playing music videos. You could shut the screen off and still listen to music but you couldn't while a video was playing. It would play a music video though if running in the background.

This is not true. You can shut the screen off while playing a video with the Apple Music App, then double click the Home button to start the "sound" of the video with the screen off. This allows you to listen to the video with the screen in lock mode.

The point of this thread, is that Apple removed the ability to watch videos in Landscape mode, using the Apple Music App. I used this app to create Video Playlists that would play my videos in order, in landscape mode. Then, when I upgraded to IOS7, I had to download another app to play a playlist of videos in Landscape. This is ridiculous. I don't need the Anger Management App, I need Apple to add functionality in future upgrades, not remove functionality.

Download the free app, Video Playlist, from the App Store. Make sure you change the type of video on anything you want in a playlist to "music video." Create new playlist in the app, use the iOS Chooser to select the videos, tap on the screen, and you will see the arrows in the bottom right corner to make it fullscreen! I was about to call and scream at them after 15 years and $20,000+ spent on all their products!
