Ipad mini facebook ios 7 problem

Hello!

After upgrading to Ios 7 i downloaded the facebook app to my ipad mini. Once i logged into it, it asked me to log in the facebook from settings in my ipad. I found facebook tab in settings and entered everything but now it tells that the password was wrong. When i'm trying to type the password, it tells me: "error signing in. Could not communicate with the server", and that's it! I tried to delete my account from that settings tab but it doesn't do anything. Even deleting app or rebooting the device still leaves that facebook tab the same: i cannot enter the password and cannot delete an account. Meanwhile each time i start facebook app - it asks me to log in from settings, but i cannot!

What can solve this issue? Because i cannot do anything with that facebook tab - neither enter the password, nor even delete account data from it.

Sorry for long question.

P.S. Anyone know if it is possible to write somewhere about bugs or lags i found in ios7?

Globs at Apple told me it is a Facebook problem. I didn't buy that. Went and traded my new ipad mini for a new one. Same crap. I was able, until today to at least go on fb and look and post. Couldn't share anything from photos or YouTube without getting the message that says I need to sign in the settings, then it says unable to connect to server. Apple must be using the same crew as Obunghole for bummer are website. Shoulda bought a notebook. Seems Microsoft has their crap together while Apple is sucking.

The fix that worked for me:

1. Delete the FB App from your iPad.

2. Go to settings>privacy>facebook. Turn the setting off (slide button left until it turns gray).

3. While still in privacy, check photo, contacts, etc. settings. If FB is requesting data, turn it off.

4. Reinstall FB App. When you turn it on you should see the user name and password prompt. Enter the correct information and you should be good to go.

Yes, this works if all you want to do is log in at FB via the FB App. But it still doesn't solve the problem with the FB settings in iOS 7. For example, when switching that privacy setting on again, right away a pop-up message appears asking me for the FB password to the "" account... This happens even while logged in to FB!

How long are Apple and/or FB letting this weirdness continue?

Hi, go to SETTINGS and the PRIVACY (that symbol with the hand) and switch off "allow facebook app to connect to facebook account"

Than you will be promptet by your fb app to log in again.

To be honest, I am not sure about the correct english wording - since I am operating the German version.

Took some time to find that solution - but finally it had worked out on my ipad device

good luck - short response is appreciated

BETTER SOLUTION: This happened to me. Heres what I did so I could use my recovery.

1: Settings> General> Reset> Reset all content and settings (dont worry, as long as you have an iCloud backup you're safe)

2: Once restored to factory settings and you see the "hello" welcome screen, go ahead and do a "restore from icloud".

3: When you finally make it to your desktop, while all the apps are downloading, DELETE facebook before it installs.

4: Settings> Facebook> Delete account (FINALLY YOU CAN DELETE IT)

5: Go back to enjoying your apple device and pretend this never happened

THERE IS CURRENTLY NO REASONABLE SOLUTION FOR THIS PROBLEM. I have spoken with 2 knowledgeable senior customer service persons at AppleCare, and have been told by both that this problem is currently sitting with the engineers, who are trying to figure it out. This is a software problem.

Chalk it up to another disappointment with iOS 7. That's what I'm doing. I'm not going to wipe my tablet then restore it etc., etc., to get into Facebook. It helps that I hardly use Facebook at all, so I'm not incredibly bothered.

Lastly, I really resent those of you who keep chiming in with your 3-sentence fixes. They don't work

This link worked for me too. http://www.howtoapple.com/facebook-login-issues-ios-7/

If you do not see the "Facebook" option in the privacy tab under "Settings - Privacy - Facebook - Facebook" then you have most likely deleted the Facebook App from your iPad. I deleted it and then didn't see this tab. I reinstalled Facebook from the iPad and then followed the instructions on the link above. I used the second solution and it worked perfectly!

Good luck.
