Can't enable WiFi in iOS 7

but surely that isn't how it should be, Apple issued the update and intended it to be used to update the 4s, so many people have had issues as a result, I acknowledge that the suggestion is that the OS update caused a latent defect in the phone to come to the surface

I don't know whether the responsibility lies with the latent defect in the phone, or the OS update, but in my opinion there is a common denominator in both

Hi, I have the same issue, Apple support just recomended me to replace my iPhone fo 199$ in store, as we dont have official Apple stores in Ukraine i have to send it to USA, so someone should replace it and send me back.

Please keep in mind when updating to IOS 7 and having issues with wifi connecting that often this can occurr due to the physical wifi/router has not been updated to the most recent software that will then enable the wifi connection. Work around can be sucessful when unplugging the physical wifi router then plugging it back in. IF your iphone worked prior to the IOS 7 update and now is not working I would ask that you attempt to update the software associated with the wifi router and the internet service providing the connection.

Hi, I have fixed the issue, in service center for mobile phones. it costs 50$.

As I was told 'grey wifi switcher' is a problem of 1 from 3 iPhone 4s. And for fixing it, they make the heating(warming up) of wi-fi chip.

I dont recomend you do it independently )))

If you have warranity - Apple replaces such phones for free. But dont accept it as a factory defect. So better talk to specialists.

My iPhone 4s is doing the same i crant turn wifi on but if i bring the task bar up it says on but doesnt work! Has anyone found a solution for this problem?

I have heard that that solution works. I'm really confused about what's actually happening inside the phone (and what unknown weird things the WiFi might do as a result). Tricking software? Fixing software? Fixing a burnt WiFi chip with more burning?

The downside is limited to $200. So far my phone works like a new after the hair dryer precedure.

OK!!! I tried heating phone up. I left phone in in sun before. I figured it wouldnt hurt to try. After pulling it out of frezzer> It still did not work. HOWEVER.... After powering off and on phone IT WORKS>>>>>>
