Hi,
my home button is not working on a 4S and i do not know my guided access pass. Plese help! 🙂
Thsnk you soooo much this really works and i was able to disable the guided access using your method. I am supremly grateful
I tried rebooting my iPad I use for School heaps of times and it didn't work, it still opened up to the same app going straight into guided access mode. What I did is I let it run out of power and then put it on charge. Then I started it up and (thank the Lord!) it actually went to the homepage. I went straight to settings and turned off guided access, problem solved (although it does mean I have no excuse to do my maths homework tonight 😢 😉)
Thanks thePSguy,
You just saved me a lot of time. Much appreciated.

Hi so I'm having the same problem, except I was using assisstive touch because my home button isnt working. I was on my messages and I put the whole screen on guided access like the idiot I am, and assisstive touch was on it! I've tried lock mode for find my iphone. I can't restore it because iTunes keeps telling me to turn off find my iphone, and I can't turn it off. PLEASE HELP!!!
If you are attempting to restore your device anyway, go to iCloud.com>Find My iPhone, and erase your device from there. You should be able to restore from a backup after that.
Cheers,
GB
That's the problem, I can't because I have to turn off my device. I can't do that unfortunately because its stuck on guided access.
I'm not sure if I understand what you are saying the issue is. What screen are you currently on right now? What is preventing you from exiting the Guided Access mode?

Okay so I decided to put guided access on my messages because my friends always look through them. I did realize that was supposed to do only a certain section, not the whole entire screen. Because my home button isn't working and I was using assistive touch, I can't triple click my home button because it won't work and assistive touch is now also part of guided access. I looked online for some help and it said to use lost mode to lock it and then unlock it and turn it off from there, but that was with ios 6 unfortunately. I tried restoring it, but iTunes says I have to disable find my iPhone. I tried doing that online, but in order for me to do that I have to turn off my device, again which I can't do because its stuck on guided access.
Long story short, my ipod is stuck on guided access and I have no home button to fix it and I cant turn off find my iphone
What screen is displaying right now?
GB
At the moment my iPod. I tried going online to find my iPhone but something happened and its not on I'm guessing because it took me to the sign in page, but I didn't log in and exited out of the window.
No, I'm asking you to describe the screen that is displaying on your device. I cannot see what you are looking at, so it is impossible for me to try to replicate your situation. Just because you turn on Guided Access does not mean that the Assistive Touch button won't work (unless you disabled parts of the screen). I have no clue what, exactly, you are seeing and experiencing, and cannot troubleshoot your problem based on your analysis of what is wrong.
So, I need you to describe clearly and precisely what you are seeing and experiencing at this moment in time.

Oh sorry about that I read that wrong. At the moment my screen is on imessage. The whole entire screen, from top to bottom, is disabled, including assistive touch.
I can't lock my iPod unless I put it in lost mode. Home button is stuck. ITunes won't let me restore my iPod. 😐
OK, so now there is some contradicting information. You indicated that you cannot restore it because it wants you to turn off Find My iPhone. You explanation of what happened when you went to iCloud.com is a little hazy. On a computer, you go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID and password. Then you click on the Find My iPhone app and find the device, and put it into Lost Mode, or Erase it. What is the issue when you go to iCloud.com?
