Hi

same problem here

my (apple original) AV cable used to give me TV output in youtube and other video applications with both iphone 4S and ipad2.

Now the only videos i can get out are my own recorded ones in My pictures. Rest of applications only audio out.

Setings are correct to PAL (Europe) but no signal. 3 dfferent TVs tried out.

Help!

thanks

I would like an official confirmation of this issue. Is it an oversight or is it intended?

I have an iPhone 4 and iPad 2 that use with the Apple Composite AV cable for TV out on an older (but nice B&O) TV - I use this every week.

I would like to have it confirmed if it is intentional that this functionality is no longer supported with iOS7 or if it is just something that will soon be fixed.

It is no problem on my iPad mini / iPhone 5 as there is no analog TV out option for these devices. But it is a shame that I then have iOS7 on lightning connector devices and I am forced to use iOS6 or older on the 30-pin connector devices if I want to use the functionality I have paid for earlier. Would be nice to have OS commonality across all my devices, now when there is larger differences between pre-iOS7 and iOS7.

Best regards,

Kristian

Just tried mine today. iPhone 4S with Composite out to my in dash car monitor.

Spent alot of money to get this to work.

Composite cable alone was $50.00.

Come on Apple, you should let us know what we lose with updates, not just what we gain.

I did notice the Music Videos/Movies will output via composite when i use the Video app.

However, i have always made my own playlist for music videos to shuffle.

Video App does not allow shuffling.

This feature is gone.

Videos play on phone screen, but not outut through the composite like they used too...

Getting Your Old Netflix4.3 App with all it’s features such as Apple Composite AV out, for older TV’s Back on Your iOS Device

After Installing iOS7 Netflix will prompt you to upgrade to version 4.3.1, however after upgrading, some of your old features like being able to connect your iOS Device to an old fashion TV’s Composite Video IN will no longer work

To restore your device back to version 4.3 or earlier, any version up to, September 29/2013, you will need to use your Apple Time Machine backup or any other method such as getting a copy from a Mac that as not updated to the newer version, so you want to locate and make a copy of version Netflix 4.3.ipa.

The file you are looking for is Netflix 4.3.ipa this is the preinstalled Netflix iOS application that sits in your Music/iTunes/Mobile Applications folder on your Macintosh drive.

If you look in this folder you will find a copy of the updated Netflix 4.3.1.ipa with an October 2013 date or later, this is the culprit new Netflix App, you will be replacing, so use Time Machine, or any other backup system you may be using, and go back to Version 4.3 by copying the older version 4.3 from backup, and replacing the new version 4.3.1 with it.

Prior to doing this connect your iOS device to iTunes directly using USB, and remove Netflix, after this follow the above instructions, then reconnect your device, and reinstall Netflix, the old version will be restored, along with all of it’s loved features.
