Help! I can't get my ext HD (Maxtor One Touch III) to mount!

I just sold off my PB and aquired a MB... prior to
selling off my PB, I bought an external HDD (Maxtor
one touch III Firewire) and transferred all of my
data into it. I just received my MB today but I'm
having problems getting it to mount on my MB. Anyone
know wat's wrong? I've tried both USB and Firewire...

The Maxtor family simply just does NOT work with the MBpro. Really annoying since hey just sold their company to seagate, i guess nobody is really working on it. I've tried everything (updates, drivers, resets...) and nothing works. My drives will still work (mount and all) with an ibook (g4) and PB (g4) just not the MBpro. Just hope apple or maxtor comes up with a quick fix for this one. I'm considering getting an iomega instead to see if it will work. Three cheers for hi-tech.
