iPhone 5 camera issues following iOS 7 update

After updating to iOS 7, I've had the following camera-related issues:

- poor image quality, especially with flash in darker light.

- lost flash, HDR, and camera flip controls at top of screen (but not when I access camera from lock screen)

- flash not working properly: doesn't flash on Auto (and sometimes on On) function when it's dark!

- in normal photo view, the control bars are not transparent (as I've heard they should be (they are for pan function), they are just black

Overall, the camera function is rubbish and the photo quality is really poor compared to when it ran on iOS 6.

Many other functions on the phone seem slow/sluggish too.

Anyone else with similar issues???

Apple IPhone 5 camera specially worsened added grain, blur and now 8 megapixel camera on the photo as does Mn 2-4, people to buy any new IPhone 5s

Hi,

I am also facing the same problem with the flash. The image output comes out to be very foggy and blurry. We are buying the products for it's well known quality and advanced technology but we are not getting the same results from Apple.Apple must take rapid action to eradicate this problem ASAP.

I just got my first iPhone (5c running iOS7.0.4) a couple of weeks ago, so I don't know if my problem is related to the recent iOS7 release. But my flash isn't working. When set to "on" or "auto", I can see it switch to "off" by itself while I am touching the shutter button. The flashlight app works. It was suggested in another thread that shutting off Location Services might help, but that makes no difference for me. Anyone else seeing this?

A short tap on the shutter button takes a photo with with flash. A longer press deactivates the flash (including temporaly setting it to off)

Thanks, Sten. That seems to work. But that can't be the intended behavior, can it? Still, it's a good work around for the time being. I'm hoping to get to an Apple store soon to talk to the staff there. Thanks again!
