In ios7 (5s) the location based weather app is giving me weather for the wrong date and time. Any suggestions?

Go to settings -> Location Services. Make sure the location services are on. Now go to the Weather App Icon and check if it is turned on. If it is turned on turn it off once and then turn it on back on again. Exit setting and go back to the weather app. The Location weather should have updated with the latest update.

Like if it works......

It didn't work.

I have the same issue. Ever since I updated to the new iOS the temperature has been stuck at 70° ALL THE TIME, and it always gives me wrong information about the date. Today is wednesday and it says thursday!

This update is HORRIBLE! this is not the only problem that I have, I am suffering also with safari opening almost nothing due to "server cannot be found" or something like that. Why isn't apple doing anything?!

Well, it's about a year and a half since the last post in this thread and it seems there was no solution, which really bugs me - because I am just now having this problem, even though I've had iOS7 for a long while now. About a week or two ago, I noticed that the day listed on my Weather app as "today" was actually a day late (e.g. saying Saturday when it's Sunday). I am guessing that I am being punished for running iOS7 when iOS9 just came out, and that the Weather app has glitched because of that, but I've got an iPhone 4S that doesn't run anything over iOS7, so I have no choice. Well, I suppose Apple would say I do have the choice to buy a new iPhone which would run Weather correctly! But sheesh… this seems unfair.

You really think Apple has some secret software center that isolates your phone and punishes you?

Just so you know it is the iPhone 4 that is limited to iOS 7, the 4s can run iOS 9. If this just happened something has gone awry on your phone. Have you tried a Force Restart? Restore? Reset Network Settings?

Well... it's really strange, but I'm having the same problem with 2 devices (iPhone4 16GB and 8GB) and started just few days ago. For each city, a different day (and I'm not talking about time zones, it's a random - monday to sunday).

I already tried:

  • to reset all configurations
  • restore from itunes (backup and firmware)
  • configured as "new iPhone" (without use backup) and a different user
  • change country, turn on & off automatic time updates, turn on & off location services

To check, I install Yahoo Weather app (unfortunately a heavy application for iPhone 4) and information looks updated (by day and time). I wrote looks, because looking in the yahoo weather website we can see some differences (the actual temperature, high and low forecasted) to many cities.

After all this checks, I think the problem may be on the informations service provider... Or in how this informations arrive at apple servers and then in our devices...

Or maybe I'm just talking ********... 😀

Noticed the same problem a few days ago on my IPhone 3GS (iOS 6.1.6, can't get any higher). I'm sure it worked til start of last week, since I use that app regulary.

Right now, the local weather tab shows friday 6pm, my hometown shows wednesday 9am, my girlfriends place thursday 6pm, my parents place friday 11am. In reality, it's actually sunday 4pm. Forecast says something around 12°C in all tabs when it's really about to freeze (0°C) in the next hours.

I got used to it, that I can't update most apps or the OS any more, that the webbrowser has more and more crashes and that the phone seems to get slower every month. Maybe this is the next hint by apple for users of old OS versions "You seriously should consider buying a new phone!".

Same problem on my Iphone 4 32 Gbit.

IOS 7.1.2 installed.

I noticed that when Weather App is launched some times the localization arrow on the right up corner doesn't appear and someother times it appears.

I don't think it's an hardware issue because all the APP which use the localizing hardware work perfectly and the localization arrow appears.

Tomorrow meeting planned to the genius bar.

I'll let you know.
