This isn't about Android or Chrome, its about sharing files between devices. First of all, I don't have multiple MACs, I have one, and two iphones. I want to share PDFs, music, photos with each device. I know, we can do photos on imessage that works fine, but what about bigger files? Or music ringtones? Or Office files. So far, I can't find that option on my iphone. So I'm just stating that its of no use to me if it doesn't do what I want, which is what it was designed to do. And no, I don't think apple is failing either. So they made a plastic phone big deal, they sill have the better phone and everyone knows that.

So here's the deal with AirDrop.

If you have Mavericks, you have to sign into iCloud and make sure that all your sharing capabilities are enabled. Also, when you set up your iPhone 5s make sure your keychain and everything are enabled. Its a weird bug I had found. But if iCloud sharing is put toghether properly, you'll get something like this:

Where AirDrop in its technical sense isn't actually used through its traditional interface.

Hacky work around I found for this when I desperately needed photos from my iPhone to my Mac, but didn't have a connection chord:

1) Open iMessage on the Mac.

2) iMessage the photos to someone close (give them a little warning first)

3) Open the conversation between with that person in iMessage in Mac.

From iMessage on your Mac, you can open the photos in preview and save them to your hard drive. You can do the reverse to transfer photos from Mac to iPhone.
