I can't upgrade itunes to 11.1 on ipad

I can't upgrade itunes to 11.1 on iPad (a month old). I thus can't sync with notebook which has this version

iPad 2, iOS 7

I am having the same issue. When i connect my ipad with my Mac it says "The ipad cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 11.1 or later". I am using iTunes 11.1 on my Mac and it is running with 10.7.5.

Chris CA answered that the problem will be solved with an update to snow leopard which can't be correct as i am using an even newer version. Are there any other ideas how to sync ipad and Mac?

Have you managed to sort this problem out? If so, how did you do it? I am having the same problem and I am completely stuck. Hope you have the answer!! thanks.

I updated the software both on my ipad as well as my macbook and then it worked!
