Can't get onto iPad asking for passcode never set one up

When you finish the update to iOS7, there are set up screens, and one of those gives you the opportunity to set up a 4 digit passcode. But you an also skip this step. If you look in the upper right corner I think there's a little blue 'skip'.

If you don't skip, just pick four numbers that you will remember.

Does your screen look like this (below?). My sister called me with the exact same problem after updating to iOS7 on her iPad Mini. She was convinced she didn't have a passcode! She hadn't realised that she'd set one up as part of the iOS7 upgrade, which you will have done by default unless you hit the 'skip' button on that stage of the setup. Are you sure you didn't type something in whilst upgrading to iOS7 without realising this was going to be a passcode? When I asked my sister to think back to what she'd done she remembered what she typing and unlocked the iPad using the same word! I hope this helps

I have the same problem and never set up a password. Having mobile broadband the signal was slow so I just left the update go on whilst doing other things. All seemed fine and I powered down after the update. The first time I powered up afterwards i was asked for a password.

Believe it or not had same problem this time it got disabled so I contact apple tech had to sort of reinstalled this way turn iPad off connect cable to main computer iTunes then shut iPad down hold home button & connect cable to iPad it will reinstall it everything got wiped off lost photo etc

So had to set up iPad like as first bought.

One major problem I've notice when you buy some game or from App Store the normal box asking password it's small one. Now it big white screen with key board stuck behind it and can't type password any one notice that?

I'll have to get hold of apple to hurry and sorted it out it's better on the version 6.

After you finish playing have you also notice that when you double click home button U get all the programs as you opened so you can. Delete it so iPad won't get backloged. We'll double click home button you'll see where do I delete ?

Any suggests for that one?
