To revoke the Twitter for iPhone app’s access to your account from the web:
To revoke the Twitter for iPhone app’s access to your account from the web:
After clicking on the Twitter app in the left column of the Settings app, you should see your Twitter account name in the right column. Click on that to bring up an account screen. This is giving your iPad access to your Twitter account (and vice versa). Scroll down this screen and click the delete button.
You do NOT need to recreate this account. You do not want the iPad to have access to your Twitter account. It is this connection that is allowing Twitter to fill your shared links with rubbish.
Ron B- I tried this and the next time that I opened my Twitter app on my iPad, my account was gone. I had to sign in all over again. Are my shared links going to start piling up all over again?
thanks!
Open the settings app and find the Twitter app in the left-hand column. Delete the account for the iPad.
This does not delete your Twitter account, just its connection to Safari.
There is no option to,delete acc for I pad, I've the most vile links from **** sites, and I'm desperate to clear all these and block future shared links, please help
You need to delete your twitter account, this will remove the shared links from safari, but you then need to create a new twitter account.
Thanks Ron-B I am a ios tier 1 agent for apple and I just used your instruction to help a customer out because believe it or not we do not have those in our knowledge base .
GOOD WORK!!!!
Or go to Shared Links , granted this is iOS 9.1, and click on Subscriptions, and turn off Twitter. Presto no more shared Twitter links.
