iOS 7 has bug in handling attachments on S/MIME Encrypted Mail

Since upgrading to iOS 7, my colleagues and I can open attachments on unencrypted e-mail messages just fine. When reading an encrypted message, we can see the message body text but the attachment pulsates inexplicably. I've included a screen-shot (moving GIF) and a brief writeup here...

Guys, I have a problem with the decryption of encrypted messages on my iPhone 5s with iOS 7.1.

I installed my private S/MIME certificate and I'm able to send signed messages. I'm also able to encrypt messages with my friend's public certificate.

When I now receive an enrypted message which was encrypted with my public certificate the mail.app shows an decryption error (sender's name in red with a question mark):

"Decryption Error. This message is encrypted. Install a profile containing your encryption identity to decrypt this message"

On my iMac I have no probs with decrypting this message. I really don't understand what's going on here.

Any hints?

Hi tdslman, did you ever resolve this problem? I have the same issue with my iPad. I had it in iOS7 and also in iOS8. But I only experience this when receiving emails from a Windows PC.
