I've changed the default background/wallpaper to one of the other supplied backgrounds. Now I want to go back to the default backgound.
I appear to be too stupid to achive this simple task. Can anyone tell me how to do this?
iPhone 5, iOS 7
Go into Settings/Wallpapers & Brightness/Choose Wallpaper/Stills. Select the same image you see for Stills. It's the 1st still image.
But if you're referring to a default wallpaper you had in iOS 6 before you upgraded to iOS 7, it's not available in iOS 7.
Update: See this discussion thread. There appears to be a link to download the iOS 6 wallpapers.

The background used to be grey with little water drops on. I changed it to the stars and clouds background in Settings/Wallpapers & Brightness/Choose Wallpaper/Stills. I did this while playing with the new OS. Now I want to go back to the water drops. I agree that the image is not in the stills section (or Dynamic). But the background was displayed under ios 7 before I changed it. Seems daft that I cant cahneg it back. The image is in the device somewhere.

That's the default background for iOS 6, not 7.

Thanks for the reply. Very helpful. I have downloaded the background as suggested.
The upgrade from ios6 to ios 7 carried over the ios6 background - but then lost the ability to reselect it.
Anyway case closed!
This may be a silly question, but do you download the wallpaper images to the iPhone itself or do you have to use your Mac? Where do the downloaded images reside on the phone? How do you get them into the settings area where you can then select them for the lock screen or wallpaper? Thanks.
Just copy the image you want to use to your iphone as normal.
Now go to Settings, Wallpapers and Brightness.
Tap one of the pictures at the bottom (underneath 'Choose Wallpaper).
You should now see some wallpapers - plus all your Iphones photos ( listed by album/folder).
Just select the image you want to use.
