iPhone text messages not going to my Android

Yes i did, they verified & said all seems to be fine from their end

SMS is a carrier issue. How did they verify that it worked if it didn't? I'd contact them again. Also, have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?

If your phone is just being put to "sleep" you aren't powering it down right.

If your'e still having the issue try calling Apple give them your Apple ID and have them fix it for you. It isn't a hard thing to do, if the person you get doesn't know how just ask to speak to a senior advisor.

Just to let you know, I have the exact same issue, ongoing for 2 weeks now.

Contacted Apple support and they said that my account looked fine, that I had already tested everything they would have done and they don't know how to resolve the issue.

Have you contacted your carrier? As noted above, SMS is a carrier feature.

I have indeed. They advised that if I was able to send and receive text messages from the iPhones when they disable iMessage (which I can), then it shows there is no issue with SMS.

Therefore only leaving the option of being something to do with iMessage, Apples ball court.

I was having the same problem. I still have the old iphone and it's wireless is still activated. I turned off messaging on the iphone and then pwer-cycled my new Samsung and it began receiving messages. If you don't power cycle the new phone it might not register with the message servers and if you don't turn off messaging on the iphone it probably stays registered with an imessage server.

I had the same issue. I found the solution. Make sure the iPhone sending you a message has the "send SMS message when imessage is not available" turned on. This is under settings, messages, on the iPhone. This will correct the problem. I hope this helps.

Hi astrodad1, how do you power cycle your samsung?? I too am experiencing this problem, there are only a few iphone users who I dont receive msgs from, its driving me crazy as I can't seem to fix the problem!

I too am having the same problem. switched from 4 to MotoX, can send text to anyone but only receive from other andriod users. Iphone users can send a text to me, but I never receive it....Service = Verizon

Any suggestions?

any updates on this im having the same issue as of yesterday

I'm the same - have just switched to Nokia Lumia and receiving some texts from iphone users, but some are just getting completely lost on the way to me. Very frustrating!! I've tried all the suggestions above. Is it just me, but i shouldn't have to tell all my contacts to change their settings just so they can text me!!
