Missing ringtones since ios7 update

I am in the same boat. All my custom ringtones are checked on the sync but they don't transfer OR if they are, they are not showing up anywhere I can find them

Same here. This is the 2nd time this has happened after an iOS upgrade. I am not going to purchase them again. What is Apple saying about this?

Same problem with me: all ringtones are gone after the latest upgrade to iOS7.0.2 (11A501).

Guess (hope) Apple will address the issue soon...

I got it to work. First make sure you select to sync your "tones" on your phone options in iTunes. then I just keep "apply"ing the changes and restarted my phone and itunes after each round of "apply".It finally took after starting back up and syncing after the 2nd round of restarting. They will then show up as a seperate section under the "sounds" options, mine is on the top of the list, before the factory options.

Where's that "sync" option in the ITunes on the phone? I don't have it.

I was referring to sync in iTunes from the computer side of things. How do you typically sync your phone and iTunes library? You can try using it on your phone: settings>general>iTunes wifi sync> sync now.

The ringtone is missing in ITunes no matter what I click.

I found my missing ringtones in a different folder in itunes. They are all .m4r. So I tried dragging them into the tones window in itunes. Nothing happened. I then dragged them into the tunes folder but they do not show up in iTunes. I've tried the Add to Library Option. Nothing happens. Not stumped yet but will have to revisit this at another time. Maybe Apple can't help us out with this?????

In retrospect, in the past, I've always waited a couple of months before installing new IOS as there are always bugs to be worked out. This time I just did it. Hopefully this is the only problem I encounter.

Why did they wipe all my ring tones?

I worked it out - I grabbed my old iPhone 4 with iOS 6 still on it & just started using that instead... has all my old ring tones. Amazing.
