Hi. I'm experiencing the same problem (intermittent Safari crashes). I tried the following fixes:

1) Restoring iPhone from a backup

2) Erasing everything from my iPhone

3) Disabling Safari iCloud

None of which solved my problem.

I can replicate the crash by going to CNN Web site and clicking on "Show Comments" under an article. Safari either crashes when loading comments from a Disqus system or when trying to create a new comment. Interestingly, this issue is not specific to Safari - I'm having the same problem when using Chrome. This tells me that this is really OS-specific, and it all worked fine uner iOS 6. The new OS version is worse than Windows (and not only because of this issue).

I am having the identical problem using Discus. And my wife's iOS 6 iPad 4 is not. I have an iPad 4. Nothing has been the same since I updated to iOS7 weeks ago. Many days I feel it has rendered my iPad useless. I have to agree it is worse then Windows, an absolute disaster. I have to do hard resets daily. There are so many problems. It is so slow, it stops scrolling. On the scrolling issue, it will still scroll in chrome. Might as well let us use chrome as the default. ios7 absolutely degrades my iPad, and I know I am not alone. It is not correct to say these ios7 problems are not widespread. You can't even get into my local Apple store because their tech section is bursting at the seams right now. ios7 is a nightmare that I can only pray ends so I can have my iPad back.

This just happened to me. Safari had been working just fine since the upgrade to iOS7 a while back. This morning I opened a bookmarked news site and Safari froze up. It has been totally unresponsive since. I tried doing the iCloud thing with no luck. The same news site also crashed Chrome although I was able to restart Chrome. I am not willing to spend the time and effort to do a reset and all that. I will just go forward from here without Safari as Chrome is my main browser anyway. Also, I will not open that particular web page again on my iPad again as it appears to be the culprit that the iPad can't deal with. Hopefully next time there is an iOS7 update it will cure the problem but until then it will be life without Safari.

I'm on a iPad air wifi / cell 128gb

I have the same problem as you but also the iOS email keeps auto closing when reading email. Can't even access google Adwords using safari also. I have tried google chrome and Firefox to see if it was a safari problem but all running apple software crashes getting really pi££Ed off.

I have turned safari off on the cloud by the way.

Unfortunately I dont think this problem is restricted to iOS7 upgrades. I'm using my 1st gen iPad and iOS5 ans the last few days Ive been constantly bugged by Safari dropping out to the home screen. I dont recall Updating Safari anytime recently. Has there been an update for iOS 5 users that I have inadvertently installed using the "update all" button?

I've just discovered this issue after updating to os 7 on my iPad mini. Safari, chrome, both randomly crash for no reason. No I cloud, no other apps running, nothing. 3 factory resets, one via iTunes, and nothing. It's still an issue. I'm furious.

Is there nothing anyone has worked out on this? I find it's predominantly but not limited to when I try and download a PDF from my box account.
