Why is my photo cut off on portrait rotation on IOS 7?

Hey does anyone have this similar problem that I am experiencing with the IOS 7 update. I have quite a bit of manga on my ipad and prior to the update, the photo would scale perfectly on ios 6 without any use of recroping or resizing meaning that I use the original sacling of the picture but with the recent update, I have noticed that the photos are enlarged and the scaling is off the point where the text bubbles at the top,side and bottom portion of the photo are cut off. Just to clarify, this is not for wallpaper setting but rather reading manga through the photo tab. I would like to keep the original scaling as it was never a problem on ios 6 but I was wondering if anyone has a solution for this or is it just a bug that I have to wait for apple to patch through.
