my slide to unlock

Have you tried a reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and don’t let go until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears (no data will be lost)

I tried this and lucky I unlocked the slde but unfortunately when i enter screen password it didnt work.any more suggestion,tnx a lot

Are you saying the screen is now responding but it isn't accepting your passcode?

If so:

Forgotten Passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode

all you have to do is reset keyboard dictionnary from settings ->reset->reset keyboard dictionnary THEN : restart your iphone ,

If it didnt work then redo it and make sure to reset keyboard dictionnary , restart and it will work 🙂 .

Best way to test it , after restart , call your phone from any other mobile and try to slide to answer 🙂

How exactly are they going to get into Settings if the unlock screen will not unlock?

Sorry I didnt mention it previously , when you try to unlock in vain , wait till display turns off and then you will be able to unlock without freeze
