iOS7 BUG? ALL MY NOTES disappeared. WHY?

I tried everything. No sign of my notes. My notes were a collection of my ideas and moments and other significant information and I had so much faith that this would never let me down. This is a huge blow of deception. Very disappointing Apple. If anyone has a good suggestion, please let me know. Thanks!

As I have said earlier, until Apple fixes the notes in iOS7, I use a paper and pen to keep my notes! Back to basics.

well you can restore your ipod or iphone you will get all of your notes..

How would that help? Wouldn't you need to restore it from a previous backup? And without a backup, or if you wrote notes after the backup dates, they'd be still lost. I still hope there's a way...

here's what I have done:

1) On the iPhone, go into Settings > Mail > Accounts > Yahoo and turn Notes ON

2) In your Yahoo mailbox, go to the left-hand side panel and navigate to the 'Folders' icon

3) Open 'Folders'

4) scroll down until you see a folder called Notes - voila! That's where they are (or at least that's where mine live).

How, why, does this make sense - don't ask....

Hi, I just found all my notes after updating to iOS X 10.9.2 when they disappeared from my mail box. The answer is that Notes have been moved to their own separate App. At first they were not there but they soon loaded. Phew!

Thanks for the help. I waited so long to update to iOS7 hoping all of these bugs would be ironed out. I don't have yahoo but finally did manage to find my notes buried deep within my phone in a random account and folder. Now to just read through the last 8 screens of these help notes to figure out how to get them back.......

to get your notes back:

1. go to settings>icloud

2. Go to notes and turn it on (slide to green)

note: as a prerequisite your notes should have been backing up to icloud initially and if so you will need an active internet connection for your notes to sync from icloud.

For all of you who don't have Yahoo email, this might help. Go to Settings > Mail, contacts, calendar > iCloud. Turn notes back on.

I Don't know exactly why the notes have turned themselves off but I suspect this happened after two events:

1. I installed the iCloud dashboard on my PC. I noticed immediately that it screwed up my photo stream so maybe it messed up my notes at the same time.

2. I synched my iPod

I lost all 648 notes in less than a second and I have no idea what happened, it's extremely frustrating. I was in mid sentence of writing a note and suddenly "no notes". None of the recovery software programs have found any notes and I have lost a years worth of notes cuz I havent backed it up for a year. Not sure what to do but take it to a shop or something. It might be that there's internal damage. I cant even spotlight search on it and it's got some cracks, but it's been working completely fine and the notes have lasted ever since I purchased the device. Never trusting apple again. This problem has never happened, came out of nowhere, and was a huge shock.

Thank you so much! I couldn't figure out why a collection of my notes were under the category SCHOOL, until you showed me how to find it. I'm furious because ESchool, owned/operated by my employer school district, did not warn us that the default was set to save notes to their app. Personal health issues and employment issues were in my notes - no way would I want them visible to the people who operated the server. Would anyone in the district have had access? When I clicked it off, the app warned me that to turn it off would remove the notes. Is it safe to say they're really gone? My other email apps, including Apple and Netscape, were defaulted to off. Thanks again.

my notes have dissepeared out of nothing and i cant find them anywhere.

i got no backup and really need them back

any last ideas anyone?

what about those programs claiming to be able to get your lost or deleted data back?

this just happened to me today. I had important stuff on there PLEASE HELP. I tried restarting my phone. i did the whole settings thing, I did everything mentioned in this thread. I DO NOT HAVE YAHOO so don't tell me "it's a yahoo issue" smh. I checked gmail. nothing. Is there an actual fix for this? Not everybody here has the yahoo problem.

Restore from the iCloud or iTunes backup you made prior to updating your iOS.
