I agree. In this case it was quite obvious the weather app was set in Fahrenheit and not in Celsius as 18°C ~ 64F (technically Fahrenheit doesn't use the degree (°) symbol even though Apple's app does 😏)

However the initial comment still applies, this app occasionally "gets stuck" somehow and will show incorrect temperature for whatever reason?

I am looking at my iPhone 4 default weather app(yahoo) right now and it shows a temp that is 20 degrees off from the actually temp. I deleted the location in question and reset the location and it is still 20 degrees off. This is the newest weirdness after a few weeks back when it showed the wrong day for several days.

I think its awesome that they want to start us off with a default weather app but why not let us get rid of it and get one more reliable

Its an obvious problem, because when you google the problem there are pages of discussion on it, going back months, so somebody at apple must know its a problem... do they not care, are they not trying to fix it? geez

Just move the default Weather app to the back page or in a folder. Then download one of the many weather apps from the App Store. I like Accuweather.

FYI, the weather data in the default Weather app is from Yahoo, thus all the problems.

I also have the temperature issue. I leave in the US but I'm
also interested in the weather in places in Europe. What it looks to me is that original data for the temperatures in Europe are in Celsius, whereas those for US are in F. Having the app setting in F or C correctly manage the US data but the European data ( initially in C) seems to be converted twice, resulting in
wrong temperature (ex if it is 22 C in Paris, the apps reads 22 F and displays either 22 F or – 6C depending on the unit setting)... Interestingly the issue was not visible imediately after adding a new city in Europe. However, waiting like 24 hrs with the app off, and then try to check the weather in the recently added european city reuslts in a wrong temerature reading.
