Escape key resizes video windows in iTunes 11.1

Before iTunes 11.1, I used to use the escape key to close video windows in fullscreen, but now it resizes them to a separate video. Is there a possible work-around for this?

I do realise now you can just use ⌘. but when I'm used to using escape I am still constantly and inadvertantly resizing the window.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5), still under warranty

I have the same question as you. It's very frustrating to realize this change after the upgrade. I'm so used to closing the media window with Esc that I keep using it and it just resizes it now.

For now, I am trying to just use the mouse to click the small X in the top left hand corner. I haven't found another workaround yet.
