Voice memos bug

yes i also saw that on my partners phone she had to remove all of the recordings each time 😟 even with the new ones too 😟

That's what I've found, too. It seems to help. Weird.

So no official statement from Apple as to why this is happening? Same thing for me. I am furious at Apple right now that my business meeting recordings have all been corrupted this way.

Does anyone recomend a non-Apple developed app for recording which works well with iOS7?

This happened twice in the last 24 hours to me. I called Apple Support, paid for help trying to find the 35 minute file yesterday only to learn it was no where on my phone or laptop. They suspected a major bug, since the phone was at max capacity-- beyond, actually. So we restored the phone. Today I tested a few short voice memos and had no problems so I used the feature to record an interview that approached the 1 hour mark. when I finished and hit done, the settings went back to 00 and it appears nothing got recorded.

DO NOT USE THIS FEATURE FOR SERIOUS, IMPORTANT RECORDINGS. MAJOR BUG.

APPLE needs to alert it's tech support so users who call with this problem are aprised of the bug and not told to simply restore the phone and continue to record!

My 3 hour meeting got lost too!

In most cases that does happen HOWEVER, I've had some times when it sits and takes FOREVER to process even a short recording. VERY frustrating when this worked beautifully on ios 6.

Apple could apparently care less about this issue since there's been NO fix in site. I recommend the app AudioMemos - worth the .99!

AudioMemos .99 - easy and there's a cool way to transfer files to your computer.

Tried this, btw, but did nothing for me except mess up my entire settings.

I recorded a very important 40 minute speech and it only saved about 6 minutes. I had plenty of room on my phone. I was watching the recording waveform very carefully the entire time and it looked like it was working fine. This is not good.

Welcome to Voice Memos in iOS 7. As you know by now, it $uck$. Complain to Apple about it. The more people who do, the more they can get off their hineysand fix the problems.

Yes, it may still be there. Don't do what I did and reset the phone-- what the first apple tech person led me through.

I just tried to recreate this bug recently by recording a 1.5+ hour session. I hit done and it went to 00. 30 minutes later, it was still at 00, but when I looked the next day, there was the 1.5 hour recording!

So, let it be to see if somehow it is taking a long time to save the file. Don't delete the recording that shows 00 until you're sure.
