I can print to my Canon MG3222 printer from my imac, but I can't air print from my iphone 4s? The phone can't find the Canon printer.

Checking the Airprint support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356 it does not show the MG3222. Are you sure you are not just printing from wifi on the iMac and not Airprint?
Your router is an integral part of AirPrint communication. Restart it: unplug it and let it rest for a moment or two, then plug it back in again.
While you wait, you might as well power down the printer as well as your iPhone.
Power everything back up again, and determine if the printer appears as an AirPrint device on your iPhone.
