ios 7.0.2 lags on ipad mini

Dear people, this is a discussion for everyone.

Ios 7. for ipad mini users, you may have overlooked the smoothness of the IOS software, but what you all are missing is that it lags our ipad mini.

take a look closely at your ipad mini, try some games i.e. candy crush, clash of clan, its not as smooth as before.

when you pinch out to home screen, it is not very smooth either.

maybe try the golf star game too, it is horribly laggy.

erm, apple staff, pls do take note and go and test it out pls. i tot 7.0.2 will fix lag issues but its such a disappointment.

I am so glad I found this posting. I was just about to update to iOS 7 on my mini. I'll hold fire for now. I was expecting some battery drain but not many problems.

I'm so happy with my mini would hate to change to performance.

What I don't like is the apps that apple have they still look like iOS 6. They need to update the look

I found a solution, do a full setting reset, this will works flawessly. No lag anymore

Hi,

I noticed my ipad started lagging and not running as smooth as i was on ios 6.1.3 after i updated it to ios 7.

I couldn't even open safari or photo apps, it kept crashing and freezing whenever i opened it and also noticed my games weren't running smooth e.g (clash of clans, candy crush etc.) and crashes at times..

So I tried turning on reduce motion and increase contrast (settings/general/accessibility/reduce motion or increase contrast) this helped the pinching apps much more smooth than before.. and also resetting the device by pressing hold the power and home button at the same time, let go when the apple logo came up, letting the device boot on its on.

after doing this everything was faster and smoother as if i was on ios 6.1.3.

I upgraded my parents mini, and they had a lockup problem as well. I had set up 3 finger tap to zoom under accessibility on the old iOS, but it doesn't work in this IOS. It only zooms about 102%, negligible. Any ideas? My parents really need this option to read the micro screen fonts apple keeps using. Thanks!

i got a question... does it really lag on the ipad mini when its on ios 7 ? cause mine lags too.. not quite smooth like the last software.. im very desapointed because .. its an ipad and we really really expect it to be very smooth on games .. basically anywhere on the device .. from the outside in... every 3d games that i download like the iron man 3 or the real racing 3 lags.. and level with me fellas ... is the ios 7.1.0 gonna change all that ?

I Am very disappointed with the iOS 7. I have noticed that it slowed down too. I kinda dislike playing some of the games you mentioned because it slowed down. Sometimes, i am having having problems with the lock rotation. Sometimes, it's locked on portrait but it is stuck on a landscap mode and i can't access the slide button to unlock the rotation.

Apple, please do some fixes. 😟 i only updated this the other day and i even cried about this thinking that my new ipadmini could be broken. 😟 please do fix it.

Best thing to stop lags is

Turn on reduce motion

Turn of background app refresh

If these doesn't help try reseting your i device

These worked for me

Hi Ramien, i found fix the performance issues, probably not fix the problem, just try it.

Im Play RR3 (Real Racing 3) on iPad 2 Wifi only, but same specs compared iPad Mini (Difference : PPI and Screen Size) And ( Same Specs: Processor Dual Core A5, Graphic Card, And RAM) wikipedia says.

My iPad 2 Running Latest iOS 7 (iOS 7.1.1)

So, i play RR3 and i found lag on main menu screen, just click the series and play game, gameplay not lagging.

If you want to fix the Performance Issues (Lag) on main menu, just open the control center and turn on the wifi, it worked for me and Getting 30-45 FPS. In gameplay, i don't know when your iPad Mini Is Lagging or not (Wifi Turned On)

If you turned on the wifi, and still lagging, i don't know to fix, sorry.

My iPad 2 Using Latest iOS 7 ( iOS 7.1.1 )

Go to setting to improve the performance:

- Reduce Motion in Accessibility

- Turning off the wifi when not using

- Set Auto Lock To 1 Min Or 2 Min, iPad only have 2, 5, 10, 15, And Never. Longer you set may battery drain, probably

- Recommend to update the apps, all apps on my iPad Up to date.

- Delete The App on multitask, many apps on multitask may affect the performance and RAM. And Many App Game on multitask like 3D, probably lagging your iPad.

- Delete Some Tabs on safari when not want because may affect the RAM

- And Moreeee, search on the web, sorry idon't know moree. :(
