Yep, same problem. After being told I had to update to iOS 7.0.2 (?), I then connected my iPad to the same computer I have for the past 5 years, and it gave me two options; Restore or Restore from Backup. No other options. So I restored from Backup and now nearly all of my apps appear to be stuck in "Waiting" even though they have downloaded. I know thet have downloaded, because if I go to the AppStore the only option I have is to OPEN, but I'm not going to manually open Apps through the AppStore every time I need to use them. *** Apple.

Thanks for trying, but this soves nothing. The apps can't be "clicked on" (technically they can't be clicked on because this is an iPad problem and there's no mouse to "click on" anything), because the problem is that the apps have FROZEN in the "Waiting..." phase (see photo). Nothing happens when you select the apps; I'm unable to delete, I'm unable to open etc. They're just stuck there!

OK - I think there is a different iOS 7 problem which relates specifically to that OS. I posted my solution after having the same problem with iOS6 in which a number of more drastic fixes had not worked. I then "shared the love" by posting it on a number of other threads that looked like the same problem. It looks like yours is something different though as all the iOS7 folks are saying this doesn't work for them.... Sorry. (When I said 'click' obviously I meant with your finger - old language dies hard)

OK, I've taken my iPad2 to the Apple Genius bar to get this fixed. They believe that it's a software problem and that there a 'dirty' vesions of iOS7 out there in the ether. They had to wipe the iPad software altogether and reinstall a clean version of iOS7. We then did another 'Restore from iCloud' and the Apps loaded correctly.

If you try reinstalling iOS7 you may fix this problem - good luck.

this is not phone or OS problem . its only your router DNS transfer function problem

I have resolved the problem by myself. I just figured out that the problem due to the DNS transfer function in my router. If I set the iPhone 4S to use the DNS server as 192.168.1.1 which is also the ip address of my router it will have the problem until I set the DNS to some common DNS service, such as 8.8.8.8 from Google. I think it is the problem of compatibiliy between the iOS and the router.

GOTO SETTINGS>>WI-FI>>click on informatio button(i) of your network>> change DNS to 8.8.8.8>> return

all the best........🙂🙂

Ok I promise I have figured this out!!! My app was stuck on waiting and I tried literally everything!

I restarted, I signed in and out of the apple store, I tried resetting my phone, and I plugged it in to the computer and tried to remove it from there and still nothing until...

Ta da! I kept my phone plugged into the computer and through iTunes (under the info tab), I did one more backup to iCloud. Once I did that, I went BACK to the apps tab and finally it had all my apps listed on the side bar.

I scrolled down to the stuck app, clicked "remove", then APPLY at the bottom of the iTunes screen. Then I went back to the list and clicked "install" beside the app, APPLY again and there it is!!!

I'm really not sure if backing up the phone to iCloud is what did it, or if it was just that I gave my phone sufficient time to load all the apps under the "apps" tab of iTunes.

But that's how I fixed it. For anyone having this issue good luck!
