In iOS 7, Safari crashes often, especially with YouTube videos

Since iOS 7 upgrade, Safari crashes on a regular basis. I notice this especially when going to a page with embedded YouTube videos. Sometimes it happens just by going to the page, and if not then almost always when trying to play the video. I have tried rebooting, resetting, turning off iCloud, etc., all to no avail. I have an iPhone 5 and an iPad 2, and this problem occurs on both.

P.S. I updated to iOS 7.0.2, and this problem, which was happening before, still happens.

Glad I found this thread. Good to know I'm not alone in having issues with the new air. I have the 5s as well and it's been doing the same thing. This issue has really made it difficult to stay with apple. Quite a few times I thought of selling both and going with an android solution for both. I'm just hoping the next update solves this. If not I'm jumping ship.

It is crashing periodically and on all idevices. The more I use ios7 the more I'm getting annoyed. I really like the new design but stability of the new OS *****. I have to say - I'm becoming increasingly disappointed with Apple becouse of iOS. It is still better then android but Android is getting better while iOS got.. worst. Apple is not losing their -magic- just the relative quality of their products is decreasing. Hope they will figure out how to fix this. Being fashionable is great but the basis of this is still technical superiority.

The safari on my 5S has been crashing non-stop! It's so frustrating especially when I'm posting a comment on websites or when I'm posting on forums and it just suddenly crashes and when I enter Safari again, all that I've written is gone! I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this issue.I hope Apple sees this and fixes it in the next update.

The Safari crashing (both on sites without and with video content) continues after the latest update, 7.0.6. The main common denominator seems to be that pages with high visual content (like, hey, guess what, the best parts of the Internet!) are very prone to crashing, although I've also had crashes on pages with little or no such content.

This is now most HALF A YEAR of living with iOS devices crippled by iOS 7! I am beyond angry and frustrated at this point. C'mon, Apple. We expect better from you.

I think Apple is fully aware of the Safari crashing problem. I think they also know it is not isolated to Safari. I have seen the App Store app crash mysteriously. I think their lack of response to these problems indicate a more fundamental issue with the hardware and/or software design (memory limitation, etc). I would think they would have patched the problem already.

Why else would they leave this as an open issue for millions of their customers? I think Apple should own up. Give us a fix or, at least, give us an explanation.

I'Ve got the same issue. My new arrival baby iPad Air has got some issues since two or three times stop quitting the connection between my touch and the screen, finally I can't keep typing. I have to close the cadre and reopen it praying May works. I am too worry?! I am not. I am not working with my Macbook pro mid 2010 unibody since nearly 2 months and this is all about my sweetheart Apple! I feel somehow there is something wrong is going on our unique Apple, starting and keep mounting since the Great Founder's huge lost, Steve Jobs RIP. I keep hoping it not to be serious and the repeated crushes is not but harshly getting to a new age of upgrades and definition of Apple Technology.

I was watching a video on YouTube on Safari, but not by its app and typing some words which ended to crush and then here.

ABout my MacBook I think I lost all my +200G of all my datas since 4 years. It hurts!
